Might as well go on record: I think we'll see a name change at some point. Nintendo can probably win many of the trademark/copyright battles that lurk around the globe, but it would cost them a bit and eat-up time. So I foresee a name change.

What I was trying to say was Nintendo doesn't know what the fuck they're doing when it comes to online. I think 3DS is getting there, but look at the Wii. Brawl was arguably the biggest release in the console's history, and the online was appallingly bad. What makes you think they'll learn so fast? If the online service for Wii U is on par with PSN, I'd be very pleasantly surprised.
Wuhu island has an unpatchable glitch that has made MK7's online borderline unplayable. That's not good.

What? No. It's just 1 track out of 32. How does one track having a shortcut exploit make the rest of the game unplayable? MK7's online is awesome.

While I don't expect this at all. Does anyone think that it might be possible for the WiiU controller to be mounted near a TV set and utilize its front facing camera to create Kinect like experience? I personally couldn't give a damn, but it seems like a good way maintain high portablity between consoles

3DS is pretty much saved from disgrace, and Nintendo Execs have probably noticed that price + line-up > hype.
As for the redesign, I like white and I also have a hard time picturing a Super Famicom return to glory.

I mean, if NOE has one, I don't see why NOA wouldn't.
It's because they are announcing a new Mother and Earthbound game coming to Japan and Europe only.

Doesn't Xbox 360 scale everything? What I mean is, they wouldn't need to program a separate 480i/p mode. This should mean no frame rate improvements (other than something aspect ratio related), but the anti-aliasing would appear greater if they're taking a 1000x600 frame or whatever and scaling it down.Gahiggidy said:

We won't get anything on Wii U, and we won't get anything on Pokemon. It's too far away in the west, and we just got a ton of info from Japan.

This is something I've thought about for the Wii U too:
I've always heard this because the PS3 does not have dedicated hardware to scale the image.
Most 360/PS3 games are rendered at 720p. On the PS3, most games rendered at 720p are left at 720p, and it is up to your TV to scale it up to 1080p. The 360 actually has extra hardware built-in that scales all video output to the resolution of your choice, regardless of what it is being rendered at.
I hope the WiiU/720/PS4 follow the 360's example and have the console scale all output to the same resolution!
