While i do think there are more Halos than necessary (we certainly could've lived without ODST and Reach, despite solid campaigns they were far from a "must", franchise-wise - maybe if they were in unique genres like Wars it would've been better), i don't think the series should die. They should've just taken their sweet time with it. No sequels should ever come before 3 years have passed. Maybe it's just me, but 2 years is not long enough to make me "miss" a franchise.

I haven't played Madden since Madden '94 for the Genesis, but I don't think the franchise needs to die so much as it needs a challenger or two. These exclusive licenses are pure suck.
