I hope Spyro & Crash are in the game. I know they're currently not first party characters, but they were one of the most recognizable faces during the ps1 era. I have a feeling overall they'll gloss over that era and pretty much be ps2-ps3 characters.

Definitely interested, hoping for at least a couple of big surprises that none of us predicted. Positive surprises, preferably.
Someone pointed that out a good few pages back, not sure why its "Bwahahaha" worthy tbh, if they are developing a game along the same vein as Super Smash Bros it would be stupid of them to not have the game on hand.

Yeah, if they went the Powerstone route it would probably be beneficial to avoid direct comparisons to SSB
I ask because 3D fighters/brawlers look a little messy to me, 2D at least seems to have a bit more precision. Admittedly I never played Powerstone though - how did it play?
Agreed, I really hope they take a light hearted approach to it.

The Paul Gale rumor says that it's in the same style as Smash Bros. And all the little gameplay hints point toward that direction.

I would prefer 3D but I like both styles and it looks like it's going to be 2D so that's fine.
I honestly want this to play as much like Smash Bros as possible. Heck, since we can't decide whether or not SB is a fighter, let's make a Smash Bros genre and go from there.

I think if it doesn't happen then it's a hugely missed opportunity. Imagine how hilarious it could be with everyone trying to keep steady and stay on the colossus while it's shuffling or rolling around in the air.

a Gran Turismo stage is a no brainer. I imagine it would be like the F-Zero or Mario Kart stages from Smash Bros.
Imagine a Mount Olympus stage based on God of War that plays kinda like the Ice Climbers stage from Melee (where you're constantly going higher and higher up the mountain).
Something based on New Marais or Empire City from InFamous are also going to be in, I'm sure.
Uncharted has too many stage possibilities to count, but I would bet on either Shambala or the City of Brass.
Sly Cooper could probably have a Paris Rooftops stage.
The rumor was that there was a Sandover Beach stage for Jak and Daxter? that would be nice, but I'd also like to see a Haven City stage.
Tons of possibilities for Ratchet and Clank as well.
I want to see some Locoroco and Patapon stages as well.

I'm picturing a pixeljunk monsters stage, where there are different towers randomly shooting arrows and cannons, and those tiki guys running around.
Or a pixeljunk shooter stage where the elements and physics comes into play.
Or a pixeljunk Eden stage where you stand on different plants that constantly are growing/changing with that beautiful neon color palette.

Are people just assuming based on it being a crossover with a company's characters?
