WAT?
That's not true.
Tickets bought for Thursday night! Yay!
Am I correct in assuming a post-credits scene?
Yup.

Why would you skip the only worthwhile, must-see movie leading up to The Avengers? It's also the one that ties in more closely than any other.
I didn't know what "shawarma" was but google tells me its nothing more than a... kebab? That stuff is the food of drunks in the UK. Please don't tell me that's something new and exotic in New York. That would be hilarious.ALSO, I don't know how the hell I forgot to mention this, but when we all watched it, everyone in the theater laughed at the!end when Stark says something along the lines of "we should all try that new shawarma joint"
EVERYBODY knows what that is, it's basically the equivalent of fast food in Syria, so it was hilarious that, and a nice coincidence for us. :lolhe mentioned it

He'd miss a good movie, and oh yeah, it leads into The Avengers.

That seems like terrible advice. Why would you skip the movie about the First Avenger? @_@
I think she'll be able to enjoy the films without seeing the prior films. The film has a fair bit of dialogue that explains the characters origins and motivations which really sound like they're written for the audience unfamiliar with the characters.
I saw it with my wife, who has seen practically all the Marvel movies with me (except for the first Iron Man, which was before we met). She's not at all a comic fan/geek (although she loved the 1st Iron Man movie; and Thor and Captain America for the leads) but she was laughing and clapping along with the rest of us. This movie is something special. You guys are going to love it.
Honestly, I haven't been this excited post a superhero movie since TDK. Not in the same league, mind you, but they are both great experiences.
They MIGHT be filming a post-credit scene for the US release, based on some rumors we've heard, but as-is there is only a mid-credits scene.I've heard you guys talking about post credit scenes, and also mid credit scenes. Are there both? Or is there just the one scene in the middle of the credits?
No way! It's chicken (or beef, but usually chicken), sliced up into very thin pieces from this big rotating thing and then put into either a sandwich or spread exotically on a plate. I eat it all the time, i'd kill if it caught on in the states. :lolI didn't know what "shawarma" was but google tells me its nothing more than a... kebab? That stuff is the food of drunks in the UK. I'll sit through all of it. woooooooJust one mid-credits scene...so far
That is exactly how it is presented in the UK... as a kebab. Only the meat is completely tasteless in the fast food places here. They MIGHT be filming a post-credit scene for the US release, based on some rumors we've heard, but as-is there is only a mid-credits scene.

I think my currently feeling is something like:
Captain America >> Iron Man > Thor >> Incredible Hulk > Iron Man 2
But I enjoyed all of them. Marvel Studios has done a good job of keeping true to the tone of the comic characters and providing an interesting story in each movie. Some ended up more successfully executed than others. Captain America has the best tone and is the most fun in terms of being a unique adventure introducing a cool hero. The rest are fun too. Incredible Hulk suffers from being kinda TV-movie-ish but I still liked it. Lacked ambition though. Iron Man 2 had ambition but is kinda muddled in pacing and had a weak conclusion. The race track scene was awesome though.
Leaving now, will return with Avengers impressions later.![]()
Those are the largest I could find, I would totally plaster some of these on my walls if there was a way to buy the physical posters or something. I wonder where to source of these posters comes from..click for max size said:
Hahaha, eww. Even here we only eat the chicken version. Kebab = this, basically. But I guess the beef shawarma can bee considered kebab to some, though if you're not eating the chicken one you're doing it wrong imo. :lolThat is exactly how it is presented in the UK... as a kebab. Except a really shitty movie. WHY DEPRIVE HIMSELF OF THAT?????
Hmm. Gitesh also thinks that 1B WW is very possible.

Captain America is even better than ironman. It's superior to the rest of the marvel flicks.
It's okay to like bad things. I certainly have my share of them. But no.

I'll have peace on those terms.Captain America = Iron Man > Thor >> Iron Man 2 >The Incredible Hulk.
Cap was a great movie.
More like Solo's regular wambulance of superiority opinion complex.bwahahahaha

They range from very good (Iron Man) to good (Thor) to poor (The Incredible Hulk) to bad (Iron Man 2) to Green Lantern atrocious (Captain America).
Only IM1 and Thor would I ever watch again, and IM1 is the only one I own.
I watched Green Lantern on video after hearing about how bad it was, and even going in with low expectations couldn't prepare me. Just a mess of a movie. Even Mark Strong couldn't save it.
So how much thus far did The Avenger's did in terms of sales internationally? Was it like $360 million?
Count me among fans of Captain America. My rank of the lead-up films:Why would you skip the only worthwhile, must-see movie leading up to The Avengers? It's also the one that ties in more closely than any other.
Thought Renner and Johanson had a good chemistry going on. A Black Widow & Hawkeye movie could be pretty cool.
