Same here, actually, just no power-ups. I've said it before but i'll say it again, they need to show him making decisions that no one else could make; comprehending the battlefield type stuff.
Tactically it's what he is known for, and what puts him one step ahead of whoever he fights. Unfortunately, they equate this to simply shouting generic orders around. Still, I liked him in this.
He could've been better though. Hopefully CA2 expands on his character a lot.
They hired an actor for that and mocapped it, but they'll recast for sure.
He watched it. Said it was as soulless and cold as the other marvel films. Poor guy just needs to be hugged. Maybe Joss can hug him with all the millions that Avengers is making. Keep ya warm and remind you that you're probably gonna lose the avatar bet to artist.

Yes? I wanted to stay but I couldn't hold it in any longer, I left soon after Banner transformed into the Hulk and came back as Thor was hurling down inside that "cage".
I'm planning on seeing it again anyways; the theater I was in was pretty shitty due to all the good theaters being reserved for 3D showings.

My father thought Batman was from Marvel and might show up in the movie and despite watching them, remembered next to nothing about the movies. He still enjoyed it as hell.

All this casting discussion on Thanos is pointless. He will be CG. With what ILM did with the Hulk, im sure it will look great too.
Casting still matters. CG can't duplicate DAT EMOTION.

Just saw it and loved it. Favorite superhero movie next to The Dark Knight. Comedy was fantastic, especially the after the credits sandwich scene. RDJ is fantastic as always and Ruffalo made a fantastic hulk. I'd watch a movie with him.

Iron Man is Tony Stark, and Hulk is Bruce Banner, both are played by actors. Thanos would be entirely CG... that's my point, but it's a case of 'wait and see', if done well, I wouldn't complain at all.

So because I didn't see some of the movies that lead up to the Avengers movie, I went and watched Iron Man 2 just now (gonna catch Thor and Cap later) and it was surprisingly decent. Widow's hallway fight sequence in IM2 was actually nice and I liked how it was done overall compared to the combat sequences for her in Avengers. However, she looks so much better in Avengers than she does in IM2.
