They finally nailed Hulk in this movie.

The only problem with I had was that he kept reverting to that one hunched pose. Like one side of his body was heavier than the other

My impression is they modeled some of his movements from apes. He sometimes pounds his fists on the ground too.

No idea why they did that though.

I actually enjoyed the direction they went with his animation. The gorilla poses read to me as immediately threatening. Animal-like behavior, for me, is terrifying when it's coming from something as large as a gorilla. You don't know what the hell it's thinking and it's got the strength to rip you to shreds if it wanted.

Rewatched this and some of the "movie logic" bugs the shit outta me. I hate when people can leap/fall and then grab onto/catch something that's moving 100 MPH. It's kinda okay when Loki does it, but Black Widow?

Was thinking this too, but it didn't bother me so much to stand out as a real complaint.

Also, why the hell does Iron Man "fall" back through the portal, in what seems to be a zero gravity environment? There doesn't appear to be atmosphere, as he passes out and his suit powers down.

Pretty sure he was motionless until the explosion pushed him through.

Fourth time? Jesus Christ....

Was a free ticket and my cousin wanted to see it. She's only seen IM & IM2 but was able to find the movie easy to follow. She also found Coulson's fanboy crush on CA cute and hated that he died. The "Better clench up, Legolas," line was her favorite - she's a big LoTR fan.

I've never liked her. I don't like any female spinoff of a male character, to be honest. I prefer original female heroes.

That'd make any sense if She-Hulk were anything like Hulk.

She-Hulk is like the only Marvel girl who isn't part of the X-Men with a good personality. You can even scratch "good" there.

I don't know, everything we've heard about it so far seem to strongly imply it's Hank Pym; Edgar Wright has outright said it a few times iirc.

The latest time Wright said anything about the plot he said he wante to have Pym on the 60s and Scott Lang in the present time. Given that the lack of Pym means the lack of Wasp, Ultron and Vision, I really doubt Marvel would let him, though.

I quite like her fourth-wall comics, that run is okay

Personally I like her purely from what little I've seen in MvC3

I've never read any solo She-Hulk comics, I'm basing my opinion solely on the character's premise.

Which, honestly, is what most movie goers are going to do as well.

Well Wright said he hopes to start shooting Ant-Man this year so we should get some details soon enough.

Yeah, you should read them.

They're pretty good and she really is a good character.

So does sound traveling in space as depicted in countless sci-fi films bother you as well?

She's a lawyer and I like her more than Daredevil so she's got that going for her too.

No, because that's an accomodation that is made to add value to the experience. Falling backwards in a zero-gravity situation isn't nearly the same.

But as has been mentioned, maybe the blast pushed him back or maybe the portal sucks shit in. If either of those weren't feasible, then yes, it would really bother me that he was in "space" but was capable of falling.

Shockwave from the nuke blowing up.

Also, no solo hulk movie. Ever....unless it's Planet Hulk or Hulk vs Wolverine with guest appearance from Deadpool.

Not sure if this is scientifically accurate, but if the portal is open, technically Earth's gravitational pull is still in effect. I don't think it's really black and white like "here be space and here be Earth." I gather some pull is funneled through the portal as well, causing near-portal objects to be sucked inward, no?

I like She-Hulk, but you cannot have her and Hulk on the same team, too much green. They can do a solo Hulk movie where Jen gets her blood transfusion from Bruce and they introduce her. Then Hulk could go AWOL or get kidnapped while she joins the Avengers. Any female is better than Black Widow, she is too lame.Wasp would be cool, but it would probably look corny on screen.

She-Hulk is much more than her (admittedly dumb) premise. Being judged on that is the biggest problem for that character.

Which is why tacking her onto a Hulk movie everyone is gonna see for Hulk would show people that she's actually awesome.

I really don't see how Shulkie's premise is dumber than anyone else's, but I digress.

Maybe it seems lame because it's derivative of another character but really she becomes her own separate thing entirely.

Not dumb, just silly. Too silly. She hulks out but becomes confident rather than stupid, she gets bigger and muscled out but still hot, she's a superhero but incredibly goofy. She is a very fun character and I like her more than just about any other Marvel female, but she is a very hard sell. And, as many have said, in a relatively small group Avengers with different powers (such as Wasp and Ms. Marvel) would have a better chance of being accepted by the mainstream.

The Avengers sequel is going to hopefully be an Empire Strikes Back like second chapter of a trilogy. She-Hulk, regardless of whether you like her or not, does not fit.

In a Solo Hulk movie, or better yet, the new Hulk TV show, she could work.

That Hulk show doesn't take place in the MCU right? Why would I care then.

Ditto to anyone extolling this Hulk above all others. His animation put you in constant worry that the other Avengers could get smashed at any moment.

As Thor did with the sucker punch? Yep.

Also loved it when Hulk, CA and Thor were gathered around Tony at the end - watch Hulk as he was debating between punching Tony and letting him be. In the end, he just roared to wake him up.

Yeah I noticed that too. I've seen a million super hero movies and this is the first one where the wild implausibility of some of the things happening on screen really stood out to me.

As for the Iron Man thing, wouldn't the pull of the earth's gravity also go through the portal? That's what I figured.

Is it just me or did RDJ really sell the little few lines after he woke up, culminating with the shawarma suggestion? "what... the hell? please tell me nobody tried to kiss me." I was like, yup, that's exactly how Iron Man would react.

I thought it was his 'shawarma after?' line that was even more Tony than RDJ but yes, it helps that he had some control over those lines to sell it even further.

Yeah, just all of that little banter, whatever was scripted and wasn't, who knows, just really got me. He really is the guy I associate most with a single character now. He is Iron Man.

*Sees She Hulk hate*

You do realize that She Hulk is nothing like Hulk? Right?

I HATE it when people judge a character before reading there source material.

ANNOYS me to no end.

Yeah, ditto. It takes me out of it a little bit--some of those were Speed Racer-ish physics.

I really liked his inane "ship commands" when he first gets to the control room of the ship. It's half gibberish, but I think at one point he says "raise the topsail"

She's not green anymore? Kidding!

I know what type of character she is, she's the opposite of Banner, a lawyer, always stays green, yada yada.

I don't hate her, and "terrible" was probably too strong on my part. I am uninterested in her as a character, and as a member of The Avengers film series.
