Dishonored E3 Gameplay Trailer

This game seriously has great art and it's a shame that everything else about it is straight out of 2007. I want to like it but all I can see is this fall's RAGE stamped all over it.

Remember that RAGE marked the debut of id Tech 5 and as such I doubt it would have been ready for licensing (or rather, since it's Bethesda-exclusive, sharing) at the time Dishonored entered development.

I think you are right.

It has a very neat look to it. This was the only trailer from the GT special that I had pause/replay several times. The elements in the foreground and distant background that make up the various environments look very interesting/pleasing. Stuff to admire between bouts of murdering dudes. The character faces look a bit rough, though.

REVENGE SOLVES EVERYTHING TM

I can't really get over the fact that it looks almost exactly like HL2 but otherwise the game seems great.

Don't care about the graphics. I want a great game here, unlike Rage which only had pretty graphics.

Rage has the best freaking gunplay/shooting this gen, nothing even can dare to come close to it,was so good and so satisfying, but yeah it's a real shame that everything else about the game sucked majors hairy balls.

Probably my favorite trailer I've seen so far. Glad I'm not the only one that got Half Life / Bioshock vibes from it. And that music was amazing, so haunting and perfect.

Will be following this game very closely. I was very LTTP with Deus Ex: HR but I loved that game so I'm stoked.

Looks like a cheap console port if this is what the graphics look like on PC. This better ship with better textures and a DX11 renderer because those assets look straight out of 2005.

Art is amazing but obviously limited by the engine. UE3 really starting to look like total garbage.

Not feeling this trailer, gotta say. Art is spectacular though.

Hopefully they show this off more at E3. I'd like to see some extended gameplay footage where they walk through a few different scenarios, show off the various ways you can tackle them.

A buddy of mine just gave me some background on the dev and showed me a video of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

I can't stop laughing.

yeah its not a visual masterpiece, looks like its made on the HL2 version of Source engine.

But i dont care, that game feels amazing and something really unique! Steampunk Bioshock SciFi Assassins Creed!

If it isn't graphics for a game its qte's if it isn't qtes its I hate it for no apparent reasons lol, I just dont get it.

To me this game looks amazing and different from others coming out this year.

Although the graphics look like shit, the game itself gets me excited. Nice song for the trailer, can't wait to see more!!

I like the art style, but god everything in the game looks muddy and low res.

what did you expect? soldiers don't magically dissapear when you don't look at them or leave the room for the sake of simulation. This stuff is stored in tiny console ram. You have to make sacrifices somewhere.

The setting looks so, so great.

Have they said if this is open world or not? Would love to be able to roam around that city.

I think i read somewhere it was mission structured and not open world? There is a lot of confusion about how it plays. I think it's about as open as the Deus Ex games.

It actually looks pretty neat. Went from never heard of it to on the radar. Mad points for being actual in-game footage, seems to be a rarity nowadays.

What's a 'wailer'? It's clearly not 'sailor' they're singing.

As low res and low poly things look, I fucking love the setting and artsyle.

Fuck that song, can't get it out of my head!

Game looks interesting, graphically not very impressive but gameplay can be great.

Looks really cool but what's with the over the top slow-mo close-up violence. It's almost gluttonous. I kinda understand it in Metal Gear Rising trailer since it's a over-the-top fighting game but this seems to aim to something more sophisticated.

That sort of gory violence is okay, in my books, in the game context but filling a trailer with it seems just untasteful, juvenile and makes me wonder the whole purpose of it. I'm sure the game has more interesting things to show.

Maybe it's just me waking up recently and not feeling well. :lol

Graphics are fine, not sure what some of you are on about.
