Judging final graphics by muddy, highly compressed youtube video, not a good idea.
You can judge the shadows (or lack of) by looking at it. I'm not saying anything about the resolution...

Not convinced on this at all. Graphically it does not look very good, and gameplay wise it strikes me as being absurdly derivative, like Bioshock, Half-Life 2 and Assassin's Creed thrown into a blender.
Me neither, but I don't know where exactly you want to have "shadows" there.
The clothes should have wrinkles -> shadows. It's way waaaaaaaay too clean.
And with the floor being too flat I mean that there are no objects like stones that pop out. It's just flat on the ground.
Check more videos, its nothing like that.
If there's anything similar to it in terms of gameplay then its probably Hitman/Thief with a mix of the new Deus Ex. Basically you have targets that you need to kill for each mission and you can do that by any number of different ways and taking many different paths. It's a stealth game at heart.
Im not blind. Im saying that they don't POP OUT. They are just flat on the ground. Also - there are stones.

Compare the floor with this one: http://www.brashgames.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Gears-of-War-3-Screenshot-2.jpg
There is no way that you say that the floor in Dishonored looks fine...
It looks fine. I think I know what your problem is - that it is quasi a "flat" and empty area?
These things remind me of the turrets from Portal with long legs.
What makes it scary is it's an adult song sung by a pre-adolescent girl.
It's low-res dirt textures stretched over very little polygons, making it look kind of shoddy compared to the stuff we're used to seeing these days.

So it's even more derivative than I had initially thought then. But wait - there's no room left in this blender for Hitman and Deus Ex! A stealth game set in a totalitarian state featuring assassinations, parkour and plasmid-like abilities (why control bees when you can control rats). I mean, every game released nowadays is not wholly original, I realize that. But I just look at Dishonored and find it has precious little identity of its own; every component looks like it's been plucked from some other currently-fashionable franchise. It'll probably be a good game when all is said and done, but for a trailer whose purpose is to generate hype, I really find nothing to get excited about.
If quasi means "fucking", than indeed it is a quasi flat area.It looks fine. I think I know what your problem is - that it is quasi a "flat" and empty area?

Gosh, if you think this looks derivative I can only imagine what you think of War Shooter #123 or Revenge-Driven Lab Experiment #235
Look at the details below. The clothing on the woman has no shadow at all . Also the floor is as flat as Justin Bieber's chest.

Looks interesting, but not sure it's gonna get much attention in a crowded holiday season. Fortunate for them that Bioshock Infinite got pushed out, but AC3 is probably going to eat their lunch.
New IP's are always welcome though, so hopefully the gameplay/story/dialog is strong enough to make it stand out from the crowd.
Definitely got a Bioshock vibe.
What holiday season is in October?
Besides, the release date is a full 3 weeks before Assassin's Creed 3.
Hey now...One benefit will be the first person melee system. These guys made the game with the best ever first person melee and that came out like 6 years ago and still hasn't been topped. The other half of the group is from the Deus Ex games (yes even the one we shall not speak of) which were first person exploration so they also know what they're doing there.
