[Ubi-Conf] Watch_Dogs Announced (Video/screens added) [Up: Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

I have no beef with the fact it's a new IP. I'm just saying, if this is next gen, next gen is going to fucking suck.

I think you are going to be disappointed by next-gen, then. Keep your expectations in check. It will be in the details and variety, smoothness.

I loved how they totally overshadowed AC3 with one of their own games. And yes to everything you juste said.

It takes a lot of balls to upstage your current-gen games with a glimpse into next-gen. Ubi rocks, I was really hoping someone would show us a bit of next-gen but I expected nothing more than a tech demo for UE4. This is fantastic and makes the wait for next-gen that much harder.

Also, LOL at the diminishing returns argument some were making about next-gen. This is probably done a high end PC, next-gen machines will be far more powerful when they hit in 2013 :D

It was a black Xbox 360 controller. You are able to see the color of the buttons at one point.

I think it was the razer onza.

Looked nothing like a regular 360 controller.

Like I said in the conference thread, this now means that Ubisoft is on the ascent and EA is on the decline, while Activision seems to currently be in the neutral phase. The great wheel of quality keeps on spinning.

Looks really incrediable not only graphically but also from a gameplay perspective... apart from the shooting at the end. Why can't there ever be a game without this much shooting? I mean if I am able to hack the city's super computer I might as well be able to get myself in a situtaion where I don't have to kill 5-10 thugs to get to the guy (while killing innocents in the process).
Looking forward to it while still hoping the demo was just one possible scenario and there are other ways to handle this situation without the need of too much violence.

So much for it must be Wii U.

I'm guessing they showed the PC version with a controller. If they pulled that off on a console though I'll pick it up on one to play on my TV easily.

I have no beef with the fact it's a new IP. I'm just saying, if this is next gen, next gen is going to fucking suck.

Not necessarily. If this is next gen, just look how much it can evolve from that. I mean take a look at Uncharted and how it progressed.

But yeah, this is more or less this gen.

This game and Need for Speed are the only games so far I'm truly hyped for. This looked amazing. I hope this comes to the Wii U. If not then I'll gladly buy it for another system.

After being impressed by Halo 4 so much, then this. Current gen is doing ok for itself. If if they downgrade it to run from a PC port the fact is there still seems to be some tricks left in the beasts of yesteryear. Halo 4 really surprised me as what I thought was a known entity blew me away. But this and its effects are even more amazing.

Looked good but it was very scripted.

Compared to stuff like Tomb Raider, it barely looks scripted at all. Don't confuse something being scripted with something being extremely well rehearsed. They probably practiced that demo 100 times before they recorded it.

If this was demoed on PC you have to remember that todays PCs aren't "current gen" in any way. Thus it may look less good on PS360. But it may come to Wii U at least.

clearly played on PC with a 360 pad. with all respect to the 360, it can't produce IQ of that quality

time to start upgrading our rigs, gentlemen!

Would be a hilarious kick in the balls if they don't bring this to WiiU lol. Although its probably a long ways off regardless.

At this point, I don't care for anything multiplat on WiiU. I know for those that are only getting that platform (why, I don't know) it may suck but you can't expect every game to come over.

Update: Ubisoft's press site has filed platform listings for Watch Dogs: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
