I missed pretty much all of Smackdown because my roommates and I played some drinking games. I saw Rhodes/Christian's match and I saw AJ and Punk/Bryan kisses but I missed everything else. Was it good?
Edit: It's weird that AJ probably graduated 2 years before me.

Yeah and like his fans cheered him on and everything. He smiled and threw off the three guys attacking him in the ring.

I'm always up for some meaningful debate when one is presented. That's just easier said than done when it comes to a product that's as actively sabotaged as the one the WWE puts forward and where a lot of people seek it out with divergent expectations.
One thing I will say is that while I'm not a fan of the WWE's seat of your pants storytelling, I think they put out a solid effort on that front tonight... although you'd never know it from this thread given the parade of Kevin Nash pics, KOG's mourning over Zack Ryder garnering some measure of success and the equally silly counter-arguments from people contending that the Kane program buried him. I would see their point of view if what got Zack over in the first place was his calibre of offense but that has never been the case. You can't bury what wasn't there to begin with.
The AJ-Punk-D.Brine program was largely presented well this week... despite going overboard with the AJ exposure. The WWE always goes overboard with anything they feel is garnering interest instead of just giving us the right amount of it and sticking to that so I can't really hold that against them. All three of the principals along with Cole did a fine job of pushing that angle forward into a compelling direction after last week's direction was somewhat of a chaotic misfire. It got no help whatsoever from Lawler or anyone else on commentary but they're all useless so once again... I can't complain all that much. Hopefully we'll get a solid 20 minutes of in-ring action at MITB before the inevitable schmoz of an overbooked ending. I'm not holding out much hope for a D.Brine title win but... we'll see. It ultimately boils down on what Vince feels like doing when we wakes up on the morning of the 15th. It won't be a must-watch event like Silva vs. Sonnen but not much is.
The Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match has a lot of potential. Given their flirtation with the glass ceiling over the years I would like to see a finish where both Ziggler and Rhodes wind up with a legit claim over the briefcase as co-winners. Kick off a program where they thwart each other's cash-in attempts on Sheamus while he gazes on in bemusement, see who emerges and let that organically develop. Would present a rare situation where a title program shouldn't be mapped out fully in advance. I'm not holding my breath, though. Still expecting this to lead to a thoroughly underwhelming Sheamus vs. Orton/Big Show/Kane program... but we'll see.
The PPV in two weeks should end predictably with Cena winning the RAW briefcase in the final minutes and the announcers putting it over like the greatest triumph of his career <yawn> but if the other two matches I've discussed above deliver on meager expectations, I'll be happy.
There's my assessment. I would be more than happy to engage in actual debate on any of the above should you wish to partake in some.

I like how UberTag thinks I'm incapable of rational discussion rather than quick rants, smark whining and gif/photo posting. Thus why the entire wrasslegaf universe underestimates me and completely despises my reputation on this forum.
I actually do like how the product is turning out, surprised yet? Why? Because we have certain tag teams going now, we have managed talent that is actually pretty good in the ring and I'm hoping they go far(prime time players) but I can't help but have the tiny bit of doubt they'll be cheated at the last minute cause Vince wants to support another face team. Even though I do too like the current face team of Kofi and Truth although they haven't really given them much to do much less motivation.
Lumping everyone together with Brodus Clay is really lame and just a quick way to appeal to the kiddies as "hey! it's the superfriends of wrestling here!" I guess I hope that Big Show pops up out of nowhere to clock Brodus in the face.
I'm sorta dissapointed by a few other things like Tensai still sticking around and even getting pushed to PPV matches like Khali (hint: they both suck). But in the meantime I like that Damien Sandow is actually getting to go pretty far into near higher card, then it kills me that Zack Ryder is still around. He's pointless to me, another Santino.

The whole AJ psychotic angle can be good but it remains to be seen, I'm hoping it isn't headed for a awful conclusion. Punk and Bryan? Well obviously I'm taking Bryan's side since Punk puts no effort in anything besides getting on my nerves every week.
I'm glad however Jericho's seemed to get a bit better since his return from kicking a country's flag. I detect a hint of vintage WCW Jericho!

Watch them do something like have AJ win MITB. Bryan wins title AJ comes out jumps on Bryan kissing him on the mat and becomes WWE Champion.

Wow. It's my least favorite of the SNES trio because it has zero character customization, but I've never known anyone to actually hate it except for this one dude in college who had only played the FF Chronicles version.
