I trust Marty will deliver he always has... I just never liked paul's lyrics... so I really hope it's just instrumental and not him singing while I'm in space shootin shit...
Am I the only one who really thought Reach's OST was a let down? It felt like Marty had lost his 'spark'... Hopefully he finds it again with Bungie's new IP.

I thought Reach had a good soundtrack and some truly excellent pieces, but it didn't help coming after ODST, which had a superlative OST.
They're all still light years above what we've heard from Halo 4 though.
The International shipping fees really are ridiculous. They make such a point to highlight their 'gifts', perhaps they should give us a real gift, unclip a bit of that cash they have lying around in their Bungie money clips and subsidise the shipping so it falls under feasible, rather than extortionate.

Agreed. The soundtrack didn't have any triumphant feel to it. There was only one good track that I like, but everything else... was just meh. Too much of a middle-Eastern feel.

it was... it was the worse one of all the halo games he did... ODST being the best...
Though I will admit that one track on the VGA trailer of Reach was good... And maybe the multiplayer beta track (that seemed to vanish from the game at release?)

Yep, those two are good. A version of the beta trailer track is in the game (the beta track was a remix).
Also, the music in the beginning of the desert mission... the one with Spire.

Reach's forgettable OST at least SOUNDS like it belongs in a Halo game. Can't say the same for any of these Halo 4 samples we've heard.

Indeed, Reach soundtrack is not exactly Halo. Arguably, neither is ODST's soundtrack, but then ODST is ODST and it sounds so good it doesn't matter.
IMO Halo 4 soundtrack sounds mostly good so far but there are some pieces i don't like... but each Halo game has tracks i don't like so it's not a big deal, if the majority sounds good.
I don't think the fall and destruction of one of humanity's most important colonies was exactly a triumphant occasion?
I really liked Reach's soundtrack, it isn't my overall favourite but I thought it certainly captured the mood of the game.
