Silva did act like a douchebag troll in the last round against Maia, but that's because he wouldn't engage for the first four rounds. It was a mirror image of the Leites fight where you had a BJJ practitioner who couldn't do anything elswe CONSTANTLY try to pull guard and Anderson wasn't having it.

There's so many times that your opponent can try to drop to the ground and lay there before it gets annoying. So he acted like a dickhead since Maia basically wouldn't engage on the feet the first four rounds.

For me personally, it's neither. I can't remember the last time I watched a ufc countdown and didn't believe at least one fighter was somewhat sincere. It really is cringe worthy, like seeing a very bad actor. I don't think he's ruing mma, I think he just sounds stupid and not believable. I think the fight would have been sold much better if Chael just toned it down a bit.

It's always great when someone says Chael beat Silva's ass. He hit him a couple times when Anderson was off balance and then wrassled him to the ground. Go rewatch the start of Round 5, Anderson was dancing around like he had been through a light jog and the few punches Silva hit had Sonnen's face look like a catcher's mitt and he was huffing for air.

Can't wait to see what the deflated T:E does to him in a 5 rounder tonight. Against Bisping he looked like dog shit by round 2 and couldn't complete takedowns.

See to me, its the opposite. I think what he says about beating Silva is very sincere. Chael is a phenomonal actor. Do you hear the stupid shit he says? Then you have to be watching him deliver it deadpan in what appears to be all sincerity. The guy is a genius, and whoever said it is right; he has a great carreer in the WWE in his future if he decided to go that route. He can play the hero or the heel very well, and in the case of this match today he has shown he can play both at the same time.
