It's not really a spoiler, just decided to tag in in case people decide to argue that he slipped. But, he didn't. If you saw the clip, you'd see he was joking from the start. Again, he laughs, and flatout says he's joking. He was trying to make Hathaway squirm for a moment by throwing it out there.
