I'd love to see it again, but it's quite a slog to do in cinema's. I needed to pee after the first hour, and held it in the entire time bc I didn't want to miss a second.

Might wait for the BR release, which I fear will have the same resolution-switching bullshit that the TDK BR has.

In thinking about using the Begins suit at the end, it made me realize that holy shit did every theatrical trailer have a TON of footage from the ending. From the fight on the stairs to the Bat chasing the trucks and tumblers, shame that I had a basic idea of what was coming.

His spine wasn't broken.
One of your vertebrae is misaligned...you mean to tell me getting it punched back into place and doing pushups is gonna get you ready to vclimb and jump out a fkin well? No...just no spin it however you want. I still thought the movie was great but there was some bullshit stuffed within that great.

Try not to think too hard (or at all) about that entire plot point. The idea that a massively fraudulent block of trades could leave a billionaire almost literally penniless--to the point where he can't afford electricity!--might be the silliest thing in three movies about a man dressed as a bat.

Yeah, I had some major problems with this plot. I usually get over plot contrivances like that by assuring myself it was needed to move the story along. But boy if I didn't like this movie I would be trolling the shit out of that plot right now.

"it would be awhile before we can prove fraud"

Lol yeah, fuck off Morgan Freeman.

Yea, for all of five minutes from an informal promotion.

People claiming his spine was "broken" are the ones doing the spinning.

He had already lost a lot of his money on the reactor project. When the movie begins, the company is already dying.

Really wish Batman would drop his rules for a minute and fire into that gang so the cops wouldn't have to rush into gunfire, or at least shoot up a distraction.

The side-swapping femme fatales bit was a little too Bond.

So sad this trilogy is over. =(

I was kinda hoping he would've had some "crowd control" technology to use so he could thin the herds or at least incapacitate the bad guys a bit more. Luckily, only like 4 cops died on the way to the epic battle so I guess it wasn't too bad.

How comes Lucius still went along with Bruce's plans? Why didn't he out Bruce once he found out Batman was a murderer? We never see Bruce tell him what Dent did!
I keed.

Just came back. I loved it and still consider Nolan to be a master at creating interesting mainstream blockbusters and especially with respect to the source material.

I acknowledge a lot of the criticism levelled at the film, but as it already has been mentioned, this has a 'sum of its parts' type of quality that is thematically coherent and consistent with the two predecessors. It is the correct and well-fitting end to an ambitious and inspirational trilogy.

I can understand why someone might be dettered by the editing and writing flaws, but I think one's overall opinion on the film depends on the approach taken (i.e. holistically).

Easily one of the best trilogies in contemporary mainstream cinema.

Edit: Also, I should add that the really great thing about this film is that it stands on its own and is distinct from both BB and TDK. Not even the fan-service and throwbacks feel too forced and misplaced ( although the flashback sequences were superfluous, imo)

How did Joseph Gordon Levitt know that Bruce Wayne was Batman? That was a bit contrived. And I thought the flashbacks from the previous films was pretty lame. The end when Batman tells Gordon about putting a coat on a boy and then it flashes back to him doing that to little Bruce Wayne. And then on top of that he says "Bruce Wayne." Come on! IS the audience that stupid that you have to spell out everything for us?
Detective skills. Mad crazy detective skills.

So Bruce was probably already broke. I mean, Bruce's power went out on the same day he lost all his money so he must have been at least a month late on the bill. An electric company doesn't shut off your power unless you don't pay, and there is probably at least a 30 day period of being overdue before they shut it off.

Or more likely Alfred was responsible for paying the bills and Bruce didn't know where he kept the checkbook.

Bruce asked Lucious about why it wasn't working at one point and Lucious made some joke to the effect of "that's why you're here". Of course, Lucious meant "that's why you're here, to fly the plane!", but sly old Bruce took it another way.

He also said something about and perhaps another mind can figure it out...a mind with more time. Bruce clearly had a lot of time on his hands haha!

He'd lost "half of his fortune" at the beginning of the movie. Somebody said that exactly. So the stock thing lost the other half.

Fucking CHILLS

Yep. Ive watched the final 2 minutes like 25 times now despite only seeing the movie once :lol

And I get chills every time when Gordon reacts to Bruce being alive and the Alfred/Bruce nod. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Best trilogy ending ever.

There is still absolutely no way, in any conceivable financial universe, that a billionaire would lose literally everything on a blatantly fraudulent block of trades enacted after a hijacking of a major stock exchange oh forget it this is almost ruining a movie I liked very very very much the more I think about it.

He was in that prison for four months. It can be assumed that he did much more than a few push-ups in that time span. In fact, the various shots of him working out are put there to imply exactly that. If you really think he worked out for two days, got punched in the back, and then climbed out I don't know what to tell you. Again, people are being lazy and refuse to fill in any information that isn't directly shown. If there was no way to logically fill in the information then you have a legitimate complaint, but there is a very large amount of time that Nolan couldn't possibly show us all of (unless you want to sit in a theater for four months) that you are EXPECTED to fill in yourself. If you refuse to do that, of course you'll be unsatisfied.

Cotillard's character was spoiled for me :(

There were pics posted of her in Talia dress on set. It was in the back of my head that she was Talia all along, but when Wayne trusted her with the ownership of his company, it sort of went away. But when the reveal finally happened, it lost most of its punch. Bah. Curiosity sucks.

That scene would have been better if his real name was "Dick Grayson", but I guess that's not on the nose for enough of the audience.

I think it would have been silly. Then everyone would have wondered why he changed his full name, as opposed to just using his middle name. Plus, he isn't comics Robin.

"You came back to die with your city?"

"No, I came back to stop you."

Haha, I won't lie, I let out a small audible groan when he said that. I was like "come on, at least say 'to put you back in a dark hole' or something like that". Fight made up for it though.

Yup exactly, the general audience wouldn't know who that is. And Nolan caters his movies towards everyone

this x infinity.

I didn't hear the first time. I thought she said Grayson at first, leaned over to ask my friend what she said and he replied "Robin"

I went from :O to :|

He isn't Robin period, which kind of makes this whole thing hilarious. I kind of wish there were a 4th movie just to see the reactions.

WHY IS ROBIN WEARING BATMANS SUIT

Watching that again, what was the bit about the "missing item" and "leaving no stone unturned" that the lawyer asked his clerk during the will reading?

I really wanted to get up and clap in my theater, like full-on standing ovation clap, but I didn't do it (felt embarrassed). The theater did clap at the end of the movie, though.

The end of this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ml85o05agQ&feature=relmfu feel so hopeful. God I love it, man.

Deep down I felt that Bane did not want to hurt Batman...

I mean Bane had tears in his eyes when he told Bruce that his punishment should be more severe.
