I'd love to see it again, but it's quite a slog to do in cinema's. I needed to pee after the first hour, and held it in the entire time bc I didn't want to miss a second.

Might wait for the BR release, which I fear will have the same resolution-switching bullshit that the TDK BR has.
 
In thinking about using the Begins suit at the end, it made me realize that holy shit did every theatrical trailer have a TON of footage from the ending. From the fight on the stairs to the Bat chasing the trucks and tumblers, shame that I had a basic idea of what was coming.

Yeah, I had some major problems with this plot. I usually get over plot contrivances like that by assuring myself it was needed to move the story along. But boy if I didn't like this movie I would be trolling the shit out of that plot right now.

He had already lost a lot of his money on the reactor project. When the movie begins, the company is already dying.

I was kinda hoping he would've had some "crowd control" technology to use so he could thin the herds or at least incapacitate the bad guys a bit more. Luckily, only like 4 cops died on the way to the epic battle so I guess it wasn't too bad.
 
How comes Lucius still went along with Bruce's plans? Why didn't he out Bruce once he found out Batman was a murderer? We never see Bruce tell him what Dent did!

Just came back. I loved it and still consider Nolan to be a master at creating interesting mainstream blockbusters and especially with respect to the source material.

I acknowledge a lot of the criticism levelled at the film, but as it already has been mentioned, this has a 'sum of its parts' type of quality that is thematically coherent and consistent with the two predecessors. It is the correct and well-fitting end to an ambitious and inspirational trilogy.

I can understand why someone might be dettered by the editing and writing flaws, but I think one's overall opinion on the film depends on the approach taken (i.e. holistically).

Easily one of the best trilogies in contemporary mainstream cinema.

Edit: Also, I should add that the really great thing about this film is that it stands on its own and is distinct from both BB and TDK. Not even the fan-service and throwbacks feel too forced and misplaced ( although the flashback sequences were superfluous, imo)

So Bruce was probably already broke. I mean, Bruce's power went out on the same day he lost all his money so he must have been at least a month late on the bill. An electric company doesn't shut off your power unless you don't pay, and there is probably at least a 30 day period of being overdue before they shut it off.

Or more likely Alfred was responsible for paying the bills and Bruce didn't know where he kept the checkbook.

He'd lost "half of his fortune" at the beginning of the movie. Somebody said that exactly. So the stock thing lost the other half.

There is still absolutely no way, in any conceivable financial universe, that a billionaire would lose literally everything on a blatantly fraudulent block of trades enacted after a hijacking of a major stock exchange oh forget it this is almost ruining a movie I liked very very very much the more I think about it.

He was in that prison for four months. It can be assumed that he did much more than a few push-ups in that time span. In fact, the various shots of him working out are put there to imply exactly that. If you really think he worked out for two days, got punched in the back, and then climbed out I don't know what to tell you. Again, people are being lazy and refuse to fill in any information that isn't directly shown. If there was no way to logically fill in the information then you have a legitimate complaint, but there is a very large amount of time that Nolan couldn't possibly show us all of (unless you want to sit in a theater for four months) that you are EXPECTED to fill in yourself. If you refuse to do that, of course you'll be unsatisfied.
 
Cotillard's character was spoiled for me :(

There were pics posted of her in Talia dress on set. It was in the back of my head that she was Talia all along, but when Wayne trusted her with the ownership of his company, it sort of went away. But when the reveal finally happened, it lost most of its punch. Bah. Curiosity sucks.

I think it would have been silly. Then everyone would have wondered why he changed his full name, as opposed to just using his middle name. Plus, he isn't comics Robin.

I really wanted to get up and clap in my theater, like full-on standing ovation clap, but I didn't do it (felt embarrassed). The theater did clap at the end of the movie, though.

Deep down I felt that Bane did not want to hurt Batman...

I mean Bane had tears in his eyes when he told Bruce that his punishment should be more severe.
