Yep! Went smoothly. Afterwards, I went and traded in my 3DS original to CEX and got £69 cash for it, which is brilliant considering I only paid £70 for it originally anyway. Also, I do have to say, the slidepad feels a lot more 'springy' than my other 3DS...it's good.

Yeah it must feel really better, I remember having pain in my thumb after long sessions of Zelda OoT. The console itself being bigger must fix that problem...Master Quest will be good on this.

The comfortability factor is the #2 reason I'm upgrading, after the size of course. Looking forward to the feel of it.

I know I had to return 2 3DS's since the upper screen was much warmer than the bottom -- I've no problem w/ having more vibrant colors but it bothered the shit out of me to not see color temps fairly close to each other among the two screens.

It's just a different LCD manufacturer that uses a warmer hued panel. It gives you more accurate colors than a cool panel, but the whites become a disgusting yellow.

The only bitch is for those of us considering trading in our original 3DS', I don't know of any GameStops that offer any sort of Wifi. Not really sure how that's going to work out.

Yeah, especially because your bottom screen is a cooler one, it's really off setting to look from a screen displaying whites more accurately to one displaying it as yellow.

I think it's something you'll get used to and not notice all that much in most games.

People are just too used to 'cool' screens.

It's partially preferential in nature, but teh colour temp of your display should actually be adjusted depending on ambient temp.
