Thanks. I have problems figuring out Tidehunter pasive skill and how it affects armor and protective items. It says they don't stack, but the reduced damage doesn't seem too high: 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 (until it's a percentage, then it's okay).

Kraken Shell is a flat reduction and Anchor Smash is a percentage reduction, afaik. The former doesn't seem like all that much, but in combination with Anchor (40%, spammable due to low manacost and cooldown), it's worth a nice little chunk of averted damage.

I know, but even if it's just bug fixes, it should mean a patch today. Or maybe they are skipping test and going to main client directly now.
I think they would still go through test first. They can still add new features to spectator mode which may need "testing". I wouldn't mind seeing some more texture updates though. Ursa Warriors need to not look like their faces were melted off.

That explains it pretty much. Thanks.

holy shit, and venge cant even flash farm
That Helm probably played a fair role in that, sustainable health regen and farming more or less anywhere on the map. But yeah, damn. That's knowing your hero's animations and damage capacities to a t.

What is ricing? Like ricing out a car and reaching Max performance?

Chinese pro dota scene at one point was heavy farming, and they were proficient at it, so the practice of extreme farming became known as ricing.

Hope they fix some good bugs tonight. Some people are hoping that they release new heroes on test but not port to live. I think that's a bit of a stretch though.

Ah OK thanks... would both sides just agree to farm? Would think you could get ganked easily

Today may have been the most painful day in DotA2 so far. Jesus, just could not catch a break. I may have to stop playing public games for a day or so.

Also, wtf@ that VS game.

His stats and growths are terrible. His HoN incarnation seems much better.

He's one of those heroes that really puzzles me when I compared the HoN and Dota versions. There was a period of time where Pharaoh was really popular (don't know about now), especially for tdM with swimdlemelonzz playing him. He was always such a dangerous hero in that game, but then Clockwerk just seems to suck dicks in Dota.

And it's pretty much all about the cast delay on his spells, meaning cogs are infinitely harder to use well, and hookshot so much harder to land... Let alone the fact hookshot gets blocked by allied creeps, thus doing NOTHING AT ALL (without a scepter) for 150 mana if you miss. And with his stats, 150 mana is a lot.

I still think that when properly used, all his skills can be amazing and the control/vision from rockets can be incredibly strong, but he does lack that certain something.

yeah rycho is just insane. bzm linked me a 1000+ gpm shadowfiend game awhile back. dude is hella nerdy; i'd like to just watch him play and see if he just goes game to game casually and does this naturally or completely spazzes out with planning and goes nerdshit everygame lol. just having the map awareness to pull off a BoT + midas with a low death count on any hero, let alone take those to well over 800+ gpm and 20+ kills before 30 mins in is insane.

He doesn't like trying very hard from what I've seen (probably why him and for similar reasons tarano are absent from the dota2 comp scene). And honestly, can you really call farming on venge 'nerdshit'?

A good number of the heroes that HoN ported from DotA play better.
Pharoah, Bubbles, Rampage.
Its almost a shame how underpicked Puck is in Dota2.

I made the mistake of jumping back into a MM game after losing. I don't play well after losing therefore I hate this game and will never play it again.

That is all.

who am I kidding, I will be back tomorrow

The sad thing is I really like clockwerk as a character, his voice, his looks. But his spells >.< I mean, theyre ok, but he is so item dependent. Granted everyone is, but he seems more so. He also isnt 'durable' enough considering his ult is basically getting right up close and personal.

Puck is pretty awesome.

I love running a Lifestealer on the same team as a Clockwork, though. That initiation can be brutal, especially if you cog a vulnerable support hero.

The talk of buffs is interesting, however. Perhaps roll the Aghanim's Scepter upgrade into the unupgraded ultimate, and make the stun land on all units in a small AoE? (say 300 or so).

2-0 with visage. If you are last one in on tea fight and aren't focused you win every team fight. The cool down on the W nuke is like 4 seconds? By the time it's ready to shoot again it's full charges. Plus the q...steal speed. So awesome

Just went axe with a good team. Enemy just rage quit cept for one husker. which leads me to the point. An axe (you) is only as sharp as its owner (team). Honestly I can kill all I want , but without a proper team, I was useless. I dunno just puttin it out there. I ve lost more axe games than won.

So I got a second one of these today. Here's the question: Is there anything I could trade it for, or should I just delete it in attempt for a Mythical item. One particular thing I really want is the Pudge hook, but that's mythical. I guess if you want to look through my inventory, maybe there's a couple of things I could trade with this for the Pudge hook.

omg.. only just realised whilst watching a replay that bloodseeker can (and should) put bloodrage on himself for the 80% dmg buff. jesus.

what else am I missing?

I really dont get the 'performance' thingy for heroes >_<

I am litererally the worst sand king ever, I just suck at him, yet he is at the top of my list, the bar is nearly maxed out.

I think im pretty good and dark seer, he is right at the bottom >_>;

Whoa, I didn't realize you could delete items for a chance at anything. I just jumped on and deleted a few extras for an uncommon WD mask, ah-ha! Seems like a pretty small chance though. Got rid of three things, and only one turned into anything.

You're probably better off looking to trade (I can't help you though).

Just go carry axe for giggles. Get mjjol and daed! Kill all the things. I tend to something like that if the game is just a clusterfuck.

I tried to play as a legit support just before with ES. Interesting experience to say the least. I was trying to keep up with warding but since I was getting no last hits getting something like blink dagger proved to be impossible until near the end of the game. I roamed a little bit and did some of the worst fissure i've done in ages haha. Tried to stay back so the 400 carries we had on our team were able to get the XP from creeps etc.

I actually didn't mind it. I will have to keep reading the warding guide once a week to slowly remember all the positions where I should be potentially throwing down wards.
