With distance from the launch and the game discounted everywhere anyway, I don't take price into account when judging it. I would agree it should have either been a pack in game, or an inexpensive launch game for the eShop had Nintendo been on the ball and gotten the eShop ready for launch.
As 'tech demo' launch games go though, it's pretty good. It has a lot content if one plays for unlocking all medals (which actually does unlock more content, something a lot of people never seemed to discover). And it's just plain a lot of fun.
Many people were and still are simply bitter at it, for not being a sequel to Pilotwings 64. That's a game I'd like to see too. But Resort is a good game on its own terms.

Holy shit. The 3DS is a beast.
I own 25 retail games, and am missing a fair few from your list. Nano Assault isn't available in the UK, but I haven't bothered with MGS, Sonic Generations, Nintendogs, Heroes of Ruin, Kingdom Hearts or any of the Lego games.

Demo was awful. Hated the controls for literally all the games (stick to buttons and circle pad, no touch screen shite). The archery is 30fps for some reason which makes it harder to hit the targets.
Yeah, I know. It's supposed to suck. But there are alot of games, and loads of them are fun. I wrote my impressions earlier, but basically, I would recommend it if you see it cheap. As a Brit, it works hilariously as an Olympics souvenir. You haven't seen Big Ben until you've seen Bowser and Eggman using it as a hideout.

Ha ha. Fair enough. Have you actually used that? I got as many cards as it appears is possible, by buying them all with play coins. I think they refreshed once, but that was weeks ago. Since then, I've connected to Nintendo Zone twice and got "no new cards". How the hell am I supposed to fill this thing?I think I'll just stick to the Virtual Card album.It captures a lot of the scenes.

Yeah, at first I was mad we aren't getting silver or white. Then the blue one grew on me as I watched HD unpacking videos and I decided to pre-order it. Now? I'm starting to doubt if I would even get white or silver if I had the chance.
Okay, I'd definitely get the white if only for the non-black interior... but still.
silver upgrade arrived today.
impressed with the build quality, feels very comfortable to hold.
DS/GB/GBA 1-to-1 ratio now large enough to be useable, which is a big bonus.
going to miss the charging cradle though, hope a third party steps up with a cheaper solution than the £20+ ripoff price Nintendo are gouging with.

As far as colors go
White>>Blue=Silver>Red
Blue is the best looking color
Silver is the most uniform and sleek
Red looks best with the black
White just looks the best overall
Gonna go blue at launch and it will be replaced by the end of next year when there is a special edition/better color selection

Blue/Black exclusive to NA, EU, and AUS
Silver/Black is exclusive to EU, JP, and AUS
White is exclusive to Japan

Blue and Black doesn't look that bad. Judging by pics and videos, it's a very nice shade of blue and it goes well with the black.
Red looks best with the black IMO, but that one looks cheap and toy-like.
Silver is nice too, but I think it looks cheap as well. Like an old laptop.
White's the only one I really like the look to, but I have to make do until then. Blue is good enough :/

probably , you can delete or overwrite saves for most games( the only one that does not let you delete the save is resident evil mercenaries)

Specifically I was looking to super streetfighter. I know there's supposedly a save reset, but does it reset all high scores and everything essentially restoring it to factory conditions?
Oh and pilot wings too.
You can't delete saves on Monkey Ball 3DS either.

hey guys, I got a quick question, I'm going to trade in my old 3DS for the 3DS XL, however what happens with my eShop account, can I just log into the XL with it, or are there things I must do before I can sign in? I know there's an option to remove the account on my current 3DS, however it says that the account will completely dissapear.
You need to do a system transfer to transfer across the account, this needs you to have both 3DS systems at the same time and an internet connection.
GAF, Shouldn't we make something like a troubleshoot thread for these kind of things? It's common enough
Answer:
You got to do a System Transfer, and to do that, it's completely essential to have with you both systems, the one you are transferring from(OG in your case) and the one you are transferring to (XL in your case), you need an Internet connection as well.

thx to both of u, as I haven't used the eShop yet, even though I got the ambassador's program, I'll just get rid of that as well, and just create a new account on the XL.
Didn't you log in into the eShop before the Ambassador deadline? If yes, then you still can redeem your games.
I did, but as of now I've yet to actually download one of those games, and as it's a 40 min drive to the store, I don't feel like going back and forth 2x just so I can get my ambassador's program that I've yet to use. By the time I'm done I'm already 3,5 hours later ^^'

I feel for ya, man, but you are crazy for not downloading at least the GBA ambassador games. Crazy, I tell ya!

Sell your Ambassador account to someone getting a 3DS(XL) for the first time, then, you have 2 weeks left.
