Yep exactly how I see it. I do however (I'm sure you do too) give credit if a company does real well even if it's not a showcase of games I personally care about (Nintendo conference in 2010 comes to mind, I was very impressed)
Anywho yeah some of the comments just rubbed me in the wrong way

It doesn't convince me to buy a Vita, but it's a really nice gesture towards current owners. PS+ and now this are making Sony very consumer friendly.

Same here, but that article was a bit much, gat damn. Say what you want about Sony(and there's plenty to say lol), but they show up to like everything. Even when they don't have much shit to show. I want desperation from our companies whether they're on top, or the lowest of low, they should never stop trying to win over or continuing to satisfy consumers. Sony has their tryhard moments, but it's that persistence that continues to get us games and content year in and out.
Nintendo has a new console, and don't hold any type of press even to show it off more? Yet it releases this year? In a few months? Lol, ok. Just keep us in the dark more. People would like to get prices now, so we know how much save up, or whether or not it's for us. In fall/winter when all these games are coming out, we'd like heads up.
Microsoft, recently, generally never has anything to show but half-baked Kinect games, and only like 2 shooters that people care about. All the cool XBLA games go unnoticed at their conferences, while Sony shows off the niche-st of games.
I'm not sold on the Vita just yet, and I still do not see the killer app that's gonna get it to sell like hot cakes. Plus I just rather have something like the Wii U, but I'll wait and see. I'm sorta convinced by TGS they might will sell me on Vita it at this rate. They did a lot of good stuff at Gamescon, and the crossbuy/crossplay stuff is pretty cool. That shotty CoD would never see the light of day in my hands lol, however, dat P4G/SoulSacrifice/Ratchet&ClankFFA/PSAllStars/Sly4/TearAway and PSPlus coming to the system... hell yea. My problem is, this won't mean shit to people who aren't familiar with any of Sony's properties.
Whatever though, hopefully people are being more salty towards the article than Sony's desperation to bounce the Vita back, and trying to be steady through the holidays.

While I agree it is great to see these titles Sony pushing that branch out into the more unique and artistic they are mostly PSN titles or ones that require more accessories to get the real experience the devs are going for such as Wonderbook, Vita, and Move. MS will still be king of the sales at the end of the year because they have core market titles getting releases this year that seem to be refreshing the franchises as well. I really disliked Halo 3 and MW3 because they seemed to be such rehashes and showed that the studios who made them might have been getting tired of these series. But, I am really looking forward to BLOPS 2 and Halo 4 because they seem to be doing more and bringing interesting things to the table.
