Dota 2 Beta Thread 2: Real Talk Discouraged [Magnus, Teams, 6.75b, 150+ Shop Items]

Fuck.

Got stuck in low priority for a day again because Dota 2 crashed right at the start of a game (and I guess no one paused), and Steam crashed as well right after/in-conjunction with the Dota 2 crash and then was trying to update or some shizzle so it took a long time to get back into the game. No fault of mine. I even came back to that game and helped win.

Suppose I'll play some D3 while I wait it out.

Are they ever going to add super pro dope shop load outs into the game?

Item purchasing is my biggest flaw I would say >.< cause I pretty much always stick to recommended.

Very few heroes have static item builds so just sticking to a list is always gonna be suboptimal over adjusting to the game.

( . )v( . ) Nice and smooth

Multiple accounts are good for this stuff.

Does anyone know if a portion of pennant sales go directly to the teams? Honestly it would be a nice way to further monetize tournaments and give an extra revenue stream to the competitive scene.

So I defragged and such..its gone down. Not every game so now is it lag that is left?

The game doesn't liek lock lock up but stops and goes - rubberband type style.

Wow, made the mistake of touching the brightness slider. I guess this has been a long running issue? Everything is so dark no matter what I set it to.

Had to edit a cfg file manually to get DOTA 2 back to being visible again.

Unrelated, I'm playing Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands and this is what my ranch looks like:

Chicken Coop:
bzm
YA BOY
flo
nomina

Barn:
Artani (Cow)
Pro (Sheep)

Cows are very profitable animals milk, that is, when they grow up.

Right now all you're doing is eating a hole in my wallet.

There is a pig in this game and I haven't decided what to name it yet.

Mebbe archie.

Hey guys, regarding the TI2 field: I haven't watched enough pro scene matches lately outside of 3 or 4 teams to know which of them are really solid groups. I know the defending champs have high expectations and though I have seen them lose a few matches recently, it seems it will be hard to dethrone them.

So I'm wondering teams not named Na'Vi do you guys feel are in the best position to take TI2? Also, are the American teams anything better than a looooooong shot?

LGD, IG and Zenith would be the top 3 asian teams imo and should all be making it fairly far.

I would say NAVI and MTW are probablly most likely from EU.

I'd say for both the US teams they are good enough but would probably put them in the second teir with Tongfu, DK, Orange, and CLG.

AL,Darer, Ehome, MUFC and M5 will be out early i think.

I don't even remember the last time I saw MUFC get far anywhere. They're gonna get knocked out extremely fast.

And EG has what it takes to be a top tier team, however, I think the finals are gonna be Na'Vi and IG, unless Na'Vi has to fight mTw repeatedly since mTw-style dota counters Na'Vi dota.

Milkman almost threw our MM game after 109 ditched us by going 4 core items before BKB.

but my sd carried him out of the dumpster, np.

I don't know why, but after having the beta for a while, I finally caught the Dota bug bad. I've been playing a bunch of single draft, and it's pretty fun, even if it feels like half my games have someone DC'ing within the first ten minutes. It encourages me to try out a lot of different heroes.

I like playing support types. As someone who tends to blame themselves a lot, being support makes me feel less culpable. If I'm a carry, I have a bad habit of walking too deep into fights and dying too fast. But I like champs who are evasive and elusive. Weaver was fun to play, and I find Puck's complexity really intriguing.

If there are some low-level people who play around now, I'd be interested in joining up with people every now and then.

EDIT: How do I get rid of chests? Especially International ones.

A serious answer to your earlier question - I like Life Stealer's survivalability, it works well for someone like me who is terrible at this game. I like loading him up with armor and even a little bit extra +HP.

I usually play pretty low level games. You can add me: Foolosophy

As for how to get rid of chests I'll gladly help you with that ;). I have a few duplicate commons you can have in exchange.

Buy keys. Worst case is trade for an item (sometimes they give multi-ple). If you want to trade for keys you need like 4 or more for 1 key. Or give me (especially if drow)

So people, how are you suppose to play middle?
