Things To Do:
- Finish Barcelona vs Real Madrid (8/23)
- Finish United vs Stoke City
- Watch Manchester City at Liverpool
- Watch Match of the Day

I don't think I have enough time left for all of this and going grocery shopping.

Damn you!

Why does that thread even exist? Mumei we demand answers!

My running theory is that that thread exists because there are furries on GAF. I could be wrong, though.

depressed that Palermo sucks.

I will forever be the first poster in that thread. I thought it would get closed or something. :(

Must...not...think...of...the...possibility...deDay...could...happen.

DC, please, stop even contemplating it.

DeDay's a myth, and one dispelled by a press conference last Tuesday, if it even needed dispelling. De Rossi isn't leaving his club to come and play for City.

Nani is one of United's best players and he was United's best player in 2010-11.

You're talking about a winger that produced 10 goals and 21 assists just 2 seasons ago. Some people say he wasn't that great last season and yet he still produced 10 goals and 14 assists last season. Nani can play on both sides of the wing (where as Young and Valencia would be much much less effective if they were to switch sides), and can play in tight spaces. We won't be able to get a better winger this late in the transfer window.

Maybe whatever you get for him will cover the summer spending.

DeDay = De Rossi day?

Didn't he already say he's staying though?

Yes and yes.

I'm crossing fingers DeDay will come this week for us too. *pweeeeease*

We just need to believe. There is always a chance.

Liverpool and City was a very good game. Liverpool played some lovely football.

City last season looked almost unstoppable at times. But Liverpool made them look average today.

I don't think 5 changes and a changes formation helped city though.

De Rossi is like Gerrard or Schweine.

Forget it, DC.

It won't.

#basedmarwood may have other plans.

His flight is booked to Italy tomorrow, first it's to Rome and then on to Naples.

Good point for my scouse boys today

People won't be surprised to hear I think Hart should be doing better for the second goal, he lines up his wall and shouldn't be getting beat by a shot going around it from there unless its Robbie Carlos type power

Exactly.

Which is why I think we won't sign anyone if we sell Nani. I also think we shouldn't be looking for a like for like replacement either. Right now United are too reliant on shipping the ball out to the wings. We have two players that are more comfortable playing in central positions, Kagawa and RVP. Right now they're getting bypased as our players are more comfortable playing out to the wings rather than centrally.

I'd like to see us buy a CM and another attacking midfielder.

I am sorry, Kyoufu, but they do exist. And Wooden, I had no idea you were a furry. The things you learn about people in these topics!

What did you think of the Arsenal match Mumei?

I enjoyed it. I was a bit distracted while watching it, but it seems like they were still struggling on converting their opportunities (as they were last week). So was Stoke, but I have come to expect them to be mediocre because of everyone's reaction to my saying I was watching Stoke City vs Reading, I think it was.

Oh, and I thought Giroud was pretty, but that is par for the course, really.

Where did this based marwood business come from? All he's this season is overpay for Rodwell and piss off Mancini.
I think (hope) it's sarcastic.
Lol I was brainfarting on twitter, he's no use to anyone in the stands he may as well waste his talents on loan in sunny Blackburn getting kicked a lot
He'll be like Eden Hazard in the Championship.

You'll get about 500 penalties a game from his tricky feet.

Agree, the main problem for us is that our play over the years has been reliant on wingers and playing wide. That'll have to change now but it'll take time for the team to adapt.

Shinji Article on the Daily Mail

Q) So, Robin van Persie wasn't the only one to mark his home debut with a goal . . .

Kagawa: Mine wasn't exactly in the same bracket as his, but it felt great.

Q) You couldn't miss, really, could you?

No, not from two yards out! That wasn't the sort of goal I usually score so I hope next time I will show the United fans what I can do from longer range. My game is not just about scoring, though. I like to create openings. I was really disappointed to see the flag go up after I was involved in the move that led to Rafael's offside 'goal'.

Q) What differences have you noticed between here and the Bundesliga?

The physical side of it is the first thing. I need to adapt to that. The other thing is the quality through the division. In Germany, the top few teams were so much better than the rest, but, here, every opponent is difficult.

Q) Do you feel you could influence games even more?

Yes. We seem to pass the ball sideways a lot, but I want team-mates to start giving me the ball from all areas and angles. I need to speak to them about this, because I want them to have the trust in me to play the ball forward.

Q ) Language is a problem, isn't it? How are you coping with Sir Alex Ferguson's team talks?

I can't tell a word he says! I am trying to learn English, but understanding the manager might take a little longer . . .

Speaking of behind the scenes documentaries, I'd be really eager to see how Ferguson is in team talks and on the training field.

Finally got round to watching the clip of Rooney's injury, that's some gash.

Keep fucking forgetting to put MOTD on, still haven't seen most of yesterday's goals.

it kinda reminded me of del piero's goal out of a free kick against madrid in the champions league a couple of years ago. iirc, pellegrini was madrid's manager back then. casillas had set up the lousiest three-men wall ever, and all del piero had to do was to put his foot against the ball, haha.
