Heh. I totally called it. ;)

- NY Magazine: Readers Pick Their Favorite Shots From Breaking Bad

Some good ones in the post, but there are a lot more choices out there. Anyone else have a particular shot that they love?

A couple random ones off the top of my head:

I like this one from the link.

Also, I've always enjoyed the time-lapse and desert shots that the show uses.

That Seinfeld pic of Cranston confuses me. I remember him as the dentist on Seinfeld, but he was clean-shaved with short hair. Is that the same character?

Cranston (Watley) had a beard in his early appearances and when he showed up later in the series (his conversion to judaism in the anti-dentite episode) he was clean shaven.

Hey guys, I have a Breaking Bad trivia question that's bugging me.

This has been the source of a little debate I had with a friend. Minor issue, really, but I think it would take too long to track down the answer in the show's episodes.

Why is it that Hank and Marie have no children? Is this addressed on the show?

Hasn't been addressed directly.

Assumptions are that one of them is infertile.

One alternative theory is that Marie eats all of the kids she has within the first month of their lives.

I'm under the impression Marie has some kind of issue but now I'm not sure why I thought that.

Edit: that might be it ^

Just the fact that they used the same actors from one of the season 4 goons, keeping the continuity intact. They did the same for the Chris character, but that wasn't as subtle.

A recent one was from the train robbery episode, when Jesse finds the bridge, in that sequence i remember a few great shots.

Yeah, that episode is one of the best shot episodes. It looks fantastic.

I'll make some caps this weekend of what I think are the most awesome shots. Wanted to make a list but figure it would be better to actually post caps instead. :p

e) 3 caps I posted earlier in this thread from that episode. Adore it so much.

Totally agree, and it was by a first time director. He did a fantastic job.

Guys, I just heard this awesome theory I want to run by you: when Hank confronts Walt about GB, what if Walt just says it's Gretchen? Her last name is Black you know

Picking a favorite Breaking Bad shot would be hard because there are so many actually great shots that I'd likely just go with Shovel-Cam for the pure WTF factor.

Her last name is schwartz which is german for black. hank will connect walt whitman, gale, Walter etc, there's no doubting that.

I mean, remember when hank was helping him move asked him what was in his bags and walt was just like "half a million dollars in cash" in a dead tone? Walt has dropped numerous things that are easy to connect with heisenberg and himself.

Hank will realise Skyler has been covering for him, right?

Damn. I can't imagine Hank coming out of that bathroom with a straight face.

I bet Hank will start tailing Walt and see him visit Jesse, and perhaps visit Lydia. Perhaps Todd.

Hank will probably do that on his way to getting confirmation, and then he'll know who was involved.

Schwartz is blactk in German.

Next episode will be an hour long close up of Hanks face contorting as he recalls each and every one of the things that in hindsight connect Walt to Heisenberg. Each flashback will be accompanied by a splash for maximum symbolism.

I don't think so, since Walt is out. That's probably why it was written this way. Hank will be the guy who knows but can't prove anything (unless he decides to seize that journal, but then Walt is on to Hank and the journal might not be sufficient to take him down anyway). It's probably going to drive Hank a bit crazy and postpone the showdown a bit.

well Walt is out but he'll probably definitely visit Jesse for something. And Hank will probably start keeping a close eye on him. So for sure Jesse will somehow be involved.

That wont work because Hank knows that quote/poem thing was first recovered from Gale's apartment, it is a direct link to Gale.

Hank definitely knows and can easily piece together all of it now that he got that little tidbit of puzzle piece evidence.

He will know the gambling thing was a front and hell its pretty obvious since Walt specialty is chemistry.

I'm sure Walt and Jesse will interact sooner or later, but for the moment I see zero reason for that to happen. Jesse is done and has his money, Walt knows he's not coming back, they're not gonna just hang out for shits and giggles.

Of couse it's Breaking Bad so we have not seen the last of their relationship. I'm just saying, it looks like the writers set things up so that Hank's investigation of Walt is going to hit a wall immediately. Which to me is a very interesting scenario... imagine a DEA agent who knows his brother-in-law is the drug lord he's been hunting for over a year, but he can't confront him directly (would be a mistake investigation-wise) and can't prove it to anyone.

Can't believe they left us with that. I need to know what happens next. Hopefully he wouldn't be stupid enough to confront Walt about it?
