No negative connotations in that post, stop trying to force ban me NEOGAF.

Ok, actual question. What's the meaning behind this scene:

Why that particular song? I have my own opinion but want to hear it from someone else.

Is it saying that
Walt is lone horse with no name? As in, he doesn't know whether he's Walter White or Heisenberg? And his skin turning red is a metaphor for change?

EDIT: It says "In the desert, you can't remember your name," which I will assume means that Walt loses his identity once he's cooking meth in the desert in the RV???

Well for what it's worth:

Maharg, I'm sorry I asked whether Skyler is a cunt, because you clearly know she isn't one. If someone's a cunt in this show, it's Walt or Jane.

Was checking eps for awesome shots and saw this. This is such a sad scene. :(

My god, watching other shows really makes me appreciate how good BB is. I just started S2 of The Walking Dead tonight and its phenomenal just how much better shot BB is. I'm starting to think this is going to be a long 10 months.

The Walking Dead is just a bad show.

Yeah breaking bad is some next level shit.

There is a shot though near the end of the second season of walking dead during a big moment but I don't want to lost it obviously because spoilers. But people who watched probably know the one. Under the moonlight and all.

So we're all in agreement that this is basically the biggest plot hole? I mean, it's essentially the show's elephant in the room. A glaring and baffling oversight that *everyone* seems to ignore.
Just about. Only thing you can really say is that Hank just doesn't care about Walt that much. Then again, they're caring for their kids for 3 months and still not giving a shit he is sitting on his dead ass all day.

Yeah, that's the part that's really bothering me the most.

It seems like it wouldn't be such a hard thing to establish either. Just throw in a few lines every other episode that explain how Walt's getting away with it, what they're doing to hide it from Hank and Marie, how they're making them think he works at the car wash all day etc. Shouldn't be too hard. Although I'm not entirely sure *what* he's supposed to be doing at the car wash all day either. Doesn't seem like he's needed there...

Oh well, it's not like it's ruining the show for me.

Still think that's an extreme reach for the words "plot hole". It's just a natural assumption that he is TCB.

Taking care of business. Walt is an adult. Hank is an adult. There's no reason to think walt is doing anything other than taking care of business whether that's working at the car wash or this or that or anything.

Just need one scene where Hank's like "I'm coming over to drop Flynn off, this is horseshit." and Walt scrambles to come up with "Uhhhhhhhhh no can do getting my cancer irradiated, bye."

If I wasn't working the job I was pretending to and instead was cooking meth until late at night, for at least half a year, possibly longer, I would have to come up with a *very* clever story and excuse for family or friends that are as close to me as Hank and Marie are to Walt and Skyler so they wouldn't find out about it. *Especially* if those friends are looking after my kids, which means I'll probably see or at least talk to them at least once a day.

"Walt, your physical appearance has been getting more intimidating at the exact same rate of growth as the local meth trade in the area, and no one can account for your whereabouts 90% of the time. Do you think Gale was Heisenberg?"

Side gig as an exterminator.

Just finished the first season of The Shield (from the many recommendations here).

Pretty good so far. It seems like an interesting mixture of both The Wire and Breaking Bad.

I just started S2 last night. What are the best seasons?

who says no one can account for his whereabouts. Who is checking?

Why come up with a story? You own a goddang business. You are running that business. If you're not physically at the business you're doing other shit that has is not suspicious at all. Hank doesn't camp out in front of the car wash and know Walt isn't there. Once again, in Hank's eyes up until the toilet moment, Walt is a completely innocent person. He doesn't need an alibi, nor would having have helped him at all right now in the situation he finds himself in right now. There's no hole here. You guys are saying it looks guilty because WE KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. But no one else did up until now, he is just a typical adult with a shitton on his plate according to marie and hank. He doesn't need any story for anything. He is either working at the business he owns, or relaxing, or with the kids, or this and that.

Season 5 by a landslide.

One of top 10 seasons in all of TV IMO.

Each season is better than the previous season on breaking bad. It is seriously amazing that a show can keep momentum like that.

Season 5 is probably the best season of TV ever.

Season 7 is the best probably. Every season was more intense than the last for me. The ending is probably one of the best TV endings ever. I really hope Breaking Bad has an ending that matches up to it
