tbf, a lot of popular anime based games 'look' fine. Bleach and naruto games look good to amazing. One Piece looks.... as well as the anime :/
It's just the 2010 version is a sequel to the 1983 release.

I remember figuring out how they were all related, but I can't remember. Needless to say, the stories for each version remain mostly the same. It's just a matter of the specifics being different in a way that I think makes the live action film a bit more interesting.

Maybe in Japan, that is considered an exotic food. Certainly I don't think Taiwan is a place that immediately comes to mind as a country's cuisine that I'd like to try. lol
