Holy crap. If say an executive at Ubisoft or a PR person at Activision said something like this, GAF would blow a gasket and there would be 10 new threads an hour about it until the guy is fired and then the internet would harass his family.

But he's Japanese so it's ok.

I love RE4, hate RE5, so what do you guys think about how I am gonna feel with RE6?

What is up with the thread title?

The only people destroying the truth are the paid off review and fanboys that cant come to terms that a game in their beloved Resident Evil series is actually complete trash.

more like he's kamiya and has enough weight in a company that he can do it without suffering any repercussions.

So my question is, is the story enjoyable? Do you get some nostalgia mixed with new plot points? I don't want spoiled, but I'd like to know if this game at least breaks the tradition of the past 2 games of basically a minute long ending and thinking to myself "that's it?"

Since reviews are based on "opinion" at least they put B6 in a higher standard due to the fact it has an insane production values behind it but gets the same kind of polish you expect from mediocre budgeted games. Rather than look at this in a B&W situation, we have to point out the factor that:

A) Chasing the COD crowd is a higher-risk venture than what is led to believed (DS3 is on it's way to the butchering table if it's anything like this)

B) Placing 600 people on one single game and yet come out as if 100 amateurs were designing it doesn't exactly showcase the potential of your studios. If anything, I'd be very aware of any CAPCOM games in the feature if this is the kind of incompetence we've seen dealing with their BEST franchise.

I think the part before the @kenshiro was posted by kamiya. the comments after about crapcom were posted by kenshiro, perhaps towards kamiya who doesn't care about such things and finds them annoying / offensive.

Yeah, I signed up about two weeks ago, spent about 5 minutes with it, had an aneurysm, then un-installed it. As you say, I'm genuinely surprised that something so awkwardly laid out and confusing has taken off.
 
Resident Evil 6 leaves players with the shell of a blockbuster game. It blusters along with massive explosions and insane plot twists, but it lacks a fundamental understanding of why action games are fun. In the end, Resident Evil 6 resembles one of its grotesque mutations — bloated, out of control, and recklessly trying to consume everything around it. Capcom has built a real monster here.

This is a numbered mainline RE game. It is getting shit reviews and you know the only people who reviewed it well were paid off.

I don't understand what is wrong with this game. I played the demo and it basically was like Dead Space (Leon part) And the chris part was gears meets call of duty ..games that sell millions. I've never seen a game get a bad review because it was doing TOO much. Thanks IGN. I will never listen to reviews when they say games like WOW and Halo are great games

I don't really understand what your point is, but Halo and WOW are (very) good in what they do. This game probably not so much.

Being revived and the moment you pop out of the canned animation you are one shotted is one of the most frustrating things about the game. It doesn't matter if you feel it's just like gears or dead space as it lacks polish and is just a chore to play.

It has nothing to do with favouritism or some snide bullshit, the dislike for RE6 comes from it being a frustrating and unrewarding gameplay experience.
 
So a game being a little unpolished deserves these horrible reviews? Gaming kind of sickens me these days. This game is dragged through the mud for no real reason other than people being butthurt that you aren't grabbing boring shit and putting it in something else to open a door ,rinse and repeat until you fight a tyrant (the old resident evils) Those games were so boring everyone here needs to stop living in the past. Times have changed people. Go and play Resident Evil 2 and pretend youre having fun. I welcome change and this game is a step up from Resident Evil 4 and 5 which sequels are supposed to be.

This never happened to me. You're supposed to run away immediately and use a health tablet anyways. If you're still getting caught you can buy a relatively cheap skill that gives you a couple of bars of health on revive.
 
I've had the game for about a week now and I love it. I'm a huge Resi fan. Loved the original games. Resi 4 is my fav game of all time. Enjoyed 5. This is so damn amazing. Bit shocked at all the negativity but I'm not fussed. So far my GOTY.

Troll post? The demo played like Dead Space? Maybe with the atmosphere, controls, physics and general gameplay surgically removed. And Gears meets CoD? How's that now?

Played it for like 2 hours. I like it! The speed is great, and you can skip the main boring cutscenes so all good for me. Nice graphics, satisfying shooting.
