Android Tablet apps vs. iOS Tablet apps... iPads have insanely higher quality software than Android tablets do. It's the same reason why people argued for Windows PCs vs. Macs back in the day.

You can just do so much more with an iPad...nevermind the higher quality hardware and screens.

App selection is about it. I have an iPad and a Nexus 7 in my house and I don't see a huge gap in quality, just selection.

So.... not "insanely" better, especially if you do all the standard stuff on a tablet-- media consumption and eReading.

Nexus form-factor is also preferable.

I'm going to pick up an Ipad 4. I like the idea of the Surface but the price is way too high at this point and the resolution too low. The Nexus 10 sounds enticing but then I'd be stuck with the Android app market.

The only thing good about the pad compared too jelly bean is the App Store. Truly shits on android.

Not really. Same display (not laminated), same battery life (iirc), still a dual-core CPU. It's a really small refresh and a generational leap in name only.

for the mini i guess they are showing off how great they are. I am not a fan of the form factor for the mini. To me the real tablet market is the 10 inch size and Windows 8 is actually showing they have a tablet strategy.
