The game was at Miami's stadium, aka Miami Dolphins stadium. A pro stadium. That's why beer was sold there. FSU's stadium is also dry.

But...when I went to the ACC's first CG at Jax Jags stadium, it was also dry depsite them selling beer on Sundays. I was like "WTF, where's the overpriced beer to buy??" and the employees told me no alcohol because it as a CFB game. :|

Maybe the gata and UGA guys can help us out here. Does Jax stadium sell better during the game?

I went to a Gator Bowl there years and years ago, and they did serve alcohol. Might have changed since then or be different for regular season games, for some reason.

I have been to a Seminole regular season game at Jags stadium when we played Duke and they definitely served booze there.

Lets see...You are UGA, It's your biggest game of the season and could shed the monkey on your back against a team that has owned you for 20 years now.

We know how this goes, Murray will throw 4 picks and your defense will play like a Big12 team.

Only with Florida fans does history start at 1990. Let's just wait and see how things go.

It really seems like a horrible idea to sell alcohol at the cocktail party after people have been drinking for days straight already. I'd like to go one day, but there's no way I'd ever bring my kid.

Jesse Williams shaved his Mohawk, but leaves the rat tail.[/URL] Also, looks like he's got more tattoo's. YOLO next to his ear. When will the scourge of YOLO end???

Then YOLO is the last thing an O-lineman sees before being serial pancake'd.

Does anyone in the thread have mad skillz? We need someone to take the following GIF, put "LSU" on the dude's shirt, and change the teddy bear to a stuffed elephant.

Upper level seats are like $80 now on Stubhub. I'm actually shocked at that. Lower level seats start about double that. Some end zone seats are at $400, 50 yard line at about 300.

I paid about $80 online for upper-level seats last year. And, since I bought them online, they were smack in the middle of the Georgia side. And I'm a Gator fan. And the Gators lost last year. Wait, am I the only Gator fan on this thread?

When you have to go back to the 80's for CFB success you start sounding like Notre Dame fans.

Far from it, tons of Gata fans here.

Haha, never change.

BREAKING NEWS! Opelika AL (AP) -

A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Lee County, Alabama Courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his Aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his Aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the Judge then suggested that he live with his Grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the Judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Auburn University, whom the boy firmly believes is not capable of beating anyone.

Had to start picking some upset if I want to move up in the rankings.

Happy to not pick the FSU game, even if it is against DUke. I have a bad feeling about this one. 9th straight game, so the players are tired & hurt. It's the game before a bye week, and the game before a Thurs night trip to VT. And FSU has been playing sloppy.

No Wonder he's so Smrt.

I just did. You're telling me that he's only speculating but can you point out anywhere that I said he wasn't? You don't even know the content of what I'm talking about that he posted, you're making assumptions that it was something explicit and concrete. Fun fact: I didn't mention Level in the post where I said he had a lacerated spleen; This is because Level never said he had a lacerated spleen and I never meant to imply that he did. I even said that nobody has said for sure that he is out for the rest of the season.

I myself was simply saying I don't expect him back, even though I realize that he ultimately could be, then you start talking about injury reports and players dressing out. Fact is that he was NEVER going to play against TCU no matter what the injury report said or what you think him travelling with the team meant. They're going to call him day to day and say he has a chance to play even if there is no chance because you need to have the other team gameplan for him.

That's an interesting recap of events. LOL

Here's how I see it:

*I disagreed with your statement that "Amaro may be back later this year but I'm not expecting him before the bowl game."

*In the same post, I also specifically asked where you were getting your information from, because I knew for a fact that all info out there is pure speculation.

*In reply, you said point-blank that he "lacerated his fucking spleen," as if it was a fact to counter my incredulity at your previous statement that he wouldn't be back until the bowl game.

*I told you that diagnosis was a rumor. And that nobody has leaked his medical condition because Amaro wanted it kept private.

*You told me "You should really join RedRaiderSports.com. Chris Level posts very interesting things there," as if you had some valuable insight I didn't. Your right, I don't know the content of what Level said, but to me, the implication that some of the "very interesting things" he posts there shed light on Amaro's status is pretty clear. I mean, we were specifically talking about the Amaro injury, and you, out-of-the-blue bring up Level and his pay site.

*When I protested that Level doesn't know, you bagged on me and scathingly informed me that "the information is miles ahead of what you're collecting in that cesspool RaiderPower," as if I need to get any of my information from RaiderPower, which clearly I don't.

That's how the conversation went as far as I see it.

...

Some additional thoughts:

I don't "collect information" from "that cesspool" RaiderPower. I post there occasionally. Personally, I don't like the way Pit runs the place. I also post at VivaTheMatador. I really like my conversations with Seth and vastly prefer the way he goes about his business. I like to have conversations with Red Raider fans--well, most of the time, anyway.

I don't subscribe to the pay sites because, well, why would I pay for that sort of thing?

Frankly, even though the opportunities are there for me when I visit Lubbock/campus, ect, I avoid real "inside info" as much as I possibly can, because when I get it, there's nothing I can do with it. If there's a hot prospect out there who we have a secret inside line on...what am I gonna do about it? Nothing. If somebody looked bad in practice, what am I gonna do about it? Nothing. I like knowing the lay of the land in recruiting a week or so before signing day. That's about all I want to know, just so I can look at all the video on all the kids beforehand and be excited when the faxes come in. That's it.

Why this conversation turned so bitterly weird and oddly hostile on your end is strange to me. I don't have any beef with you. Never have,m as far as I know. I think I've always been respectful of you, especially since you are the main Red Raider fan here. Personally, I'd think you'd be happy to hear that the "doom and gloom" speculators don't really know what Jace's status is, and that would be a relief, and the chance that he might be back sooner rather than later would be good news. Instead, it sounds like you just want to be proven right, even if it means one of our best players is benched all regular season. That's fine if that's how you choose to go about your business, I'm just disappointed.

We have enough Florida people that post that we could probably get something going.

I seem to recall having different political views with iceman, so maybe that is a place to start?

You and Cornballer got anything? You West Coast liberals probably agree on everything, but maybe you can use your fancy book knowledge and create a controversy. Maybe you can take opposite positions on the whole Washington coaches/recruiting thing?

God damn it. Just noticed Lonestar's avatar. :(

Edit: and, apparently, that Saban uses Beats headphones.

Yeah, changed it over, at least for a few days.

I've recognized him for years, as he's one of many that were here before "NeoGAF" came to be. Was never in each other's circle of topics (he seems to be big in the political topics) but I know we've conversed in random topics and in #ga.

So, as I think more on him, what happened, it also makes me think more on my dad, who also was a David, and also died of cancer, and really starting to feel bummed.

Bill O'Rielly was right about one thing:
"Fucking thing sucks"

He was wise beyond his years for a 28 year old. Cancer is an unforgiving selfish cunt, and took a great young man with a lot of potential to do great things in life.

Seems like there are more Gatas here than anything else, at least over the last few weeks.

Yeah, I feel like I've seen more of us crawling out of the woodwork recently. Some of them have been juniors though, so it's not surprising they'd be new. There's also probably plenty like me who lurk a lot more than post.

If I'm coming off as incredulous it's because there was never any chance of him playing against TCU whether he made the trip or not. To think there was is simply uninformed. The official injury report meant nothing and continues to mean nothing. I said all along that he could be back earlier than the bowl game, I'm just counting on him not being. You don't screw around with the internal organ health of your future NFL tight end in his sophomore year and Tubs is known to hold out or limit injured players in cold weather games. It's not about me wanting him to be hurt to be proven right, it's about not just taking coachspeak at face value. This is the first week he could possibly be back but the odds are very, very low.

And you pay for the site because the information is great there. As I mentioned I've tried other sites before, both pay and free, and there's really no comparison; there are people that aren't even employed by the site over there that break down games better than other site's actual staffs do. It's not just about recruiting information.

At any rate, you're taking this all way too seriously and I'm done with it now.

::edit::
In an unrelated story you may be interested in, I was spending the night at my aunt's house a few months back when my wife and I were woken up at 4:30 am because the house was on fire. Ended up needing to be torn down.

Yeah, he was a big PoliGAFer. Cool guy.

So Herbie got one of the cohosts of the 2nd highest rated sports talk show in the country fired over a Desmond Howard tweet the guy made.

Sucks, always loved our afternoon sports how, won't be the same now.

Actually, yeah, what was the tweet?

He said something along the lines of I can't wait until Desmond dies or gets fired so I can watch game day again.

He's an over facetious guys making a facetious statement and pandering to his audience.

I agree with a suspension but not a firing over it.

Was that it? Because Desmond is by far the worst thing about Gameday.

And here is something even worse: And Desmond can't blame his suckitude on a stroke.

Yeah that was it, but herbie has pull with our radio station and came and made a big stink over it.

Pretty lame
