Well Nate didn't say Obama has a 100% chance now did he?It's either game over for Romney, or for Nate.

Nixon got us out of Vietnam. That war is really LBJ's cross to bear (although he inherited it from Kennedy).
It's either game over for Romney, or for Nate.
Watch the boxes on the right edge of the screen and not his finger every time he clicks. Always reference a screen edge to catch a cut, never the subject material.I see two hangs (they don't look like cuts to me) and one is a good second before he touches anything and then there is uninterrupted footage of him pushing it multiple times and then near the end of that is another hang. My phone's video function hangs very similar to that.

Why?

Where do you live?I like how the election brings out the worst in people. Woman hands me the ballot and announces that your a democrat and get people in the whole room including her saying ooooo a democrat he's sooo special.
WTF?

90% is close enough. Would be career ending.

South Houston
My dad had his Obama stickers torn off his car repeatedly, scraping up the area. He lives in LA. Doesn't matter where you are, just needs to be someone crazy in the neighborhood.
A "rich" neighborhood in California. Most are republicans so I guess I should expect something but not invasion of my privacy by announcing my registered party.Where do you live?
Come and join us for the final hours of this election in #poligaf chat
haha. I would be if UT gave me scholarship moneyI'm visiting friends there next week though. Just discovered Megabus.

cast my ballot in tustin this morning. confusing electronic wheel voting thing. but i guess it's better than a touch screen?
anyway, no paper at the end of the day to hold in my hand, but i did actually see it. so i guess that's something.
vote for obama. i think he'll take california.
IGNORE THE EARLY EXIT POLLS THEY WILL BE SKEWED TO THE DEMS.
He hasn't said it's statistically impossible.
Well to be fair, I can remember the 2004 exit polls being way off from the final tally. We can't assume everything by them.
I always thought you were Canadian for some reason![]()
Wow, sorry to hear that. Things have been calm here in West Houston/Katy area. Not that many Obama/Democrat signs here though.
Yeah, my mom wanted to get an Obama sign and some bumper stickers but I talked her out of it. Like I said, things have been calm here but I don't want to take any chances.
It's unfortunately true, even though his results are only as good as polling data.I don't see how that matters. If Romney wins, there will be severe Nate backlash. Count on it.
Too many crazies. I saw the large Romney sign across the street from a church here in Missouri did not make the night. All shredded up now. I'm pretty sure it was intact when I left work, but it was dark. My route to work is not exactly a republican contingency, that's for sure.
Is that what that movie was about? I thought Kubrick just wanted to shoot a lot of naked ladies
Where in MO?
I remember a few McCain signs in my neighborhood in Columbia didn't last too long back in '08. Also a lot of Obama signs. It was just a bad time to be a sign.

What its like to vote in Texas...
1. Discover that you can vote at local middle school which is a two minute walk away.
2. Wake up early to avoid the school carpools.
3. Walk on sidewalk leading to front entrance of school
4. Notice that there are 30 election signs all around the sidewalk.
5. Notice that only two of the signs were endorsing a Democrat. Both for this lady here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dora_Olivo. No Vote for Obama/Biden sign seen
6. Notice that in these signs, the font size for "Republican" is almost as big as the name of the candidate.
7. Then proceeded to get a call from a friend about how two of their coworkers got their mailboxes flipped over because they had Obama endorsement signs on their front lawn.

Congrats on being duped then.IT drops a frame the first time he presses it but not any of the others.
When do the news livestreams start? Abcnews for example?
Any other livestreams I should be watching tonight?

I agree, I think this will happen if Nate is wrong.
A random pundit who makes confident claims is not held to this standard, obviously. They make wrong predictions all the time -- and not even probabilistic ones, like Silver makes, but confident ones without probabilistic language -- and nothing happens to them. Often, their ratings go up.
But science-y math-y people are simply held to a different standard. Implicitly, we know that they have to follow different rules than typical bloviators and pundits who can say anything they want with impunity. These rules are necessary because math-y science-y types actually claim to be able to predict the future in a serious way, and as such they are held to much tighter standards. We may not openly admit that Joe Scarborough or Ed Sullivan are entertainers, we may not even consciously admit it, but the way in which we immediately discard their (frequently wrong) predictions suggests that we know it, deep down.
Just as we all know deep down that English majors are less important than Biochemistry majors, even if we don't admit it, we know that Joe Scarborough isn't the same as Nate Silver and thus we don't hold Scaroborough to the sort of standards we hold a statistician to.
Congrats on being duped then.
Several other flags include the location of the polling place, no other reports or videos, no name of the person he says he talked to that said its fine, etc.
You would think there would be a huge stink about this blow up within minutes - instead we get a poorly hoaxed video.
Yeah not buying it along with all those bigfoot videos.
I understand the hate for Romney here, while deserved, I can't blindly believe every video I watch on the internet.
Too many holes in the entire story. I'd bank on Ancient Aliens being true despite the flat-out lies to wrench those theories loosely in place before I believe this whole scenario.
