I think there is definite fall off as kids don't follow their parents views 100% well ever. The states are getting more liberal over time, look at the view of gay rights from those under 25.

The culture wars are the thing that will cause a lot of kids to fall out with their hard conservative parents. Conservatives have been snookered into defending "culture" instead of sticking to things like the economy and foreign policy. This has lead down the hypocritical path of espousing personal freedom and responsibility while simultaneously trying to legislate morality.

In a social sense, the world continues to become more "liberal" all the time, in an overall sense. As time moves forward, new generations see that the phantom fears and paranoia of the last generation were a bunch of smoke and ignorance.

I've known plenty of people from conservative families who fell out and rebelled, and it was almost always over social issues. They could not accept their parents and relatives lack of empathy and ignorance about other people and other classes.

why wouldn't they be able to? Their vote counts as one just like everybody elses so its not really an issue anyways.
No I mean of course Obama can vote for Romney if he wants or vice versa. Just wondering if there was a rule stating you couldn't vote for yourself. Guess there isn't.

I think I watch too much saved by the bell or something because I remember Zach couldn't vote for himself for class president. :/

May have been a different show completely.

Hope NJ voters vote yes on the bond issue for higher education.

That's VERY IMPORTANT.

i just read the ballot question . . . seems like a fucking no-brainer. why would anyone vote against it?

i will definitely vote yes. i will also vote no on the judges' salary question, only because i was just hired by a judge to be her clerk and i am now loyal to her interests.

Indeed. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen/heard under-20s ask what the big deal is if two people in love want to marry. That's so encouraging.

So is it anathema to even talk about 'the working class' in America.

What its like to vote in Texas...

1. Discover that you can vote at local middle school which is a two minute walk away.

2. Wake up early to avoid the school carpools.

3. Walk on sidewalk leading to front entrance of school

4. Notice that there are 30 election signs all around the sidewalk.

5. Notice that only two of the signs were endorsing a Democrat. Both for this lady here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dora_Olivo. No Vote for Obama/Biden sign seen

6. Notice that in these signs, the font size for "Republican" is almost as big as the name of the candidate.

7. Then proceeded to get a call from a friend about how two of their coworkers got their mailboxes flipped over because they had Obama endorsement signs on their front lawn.

Pregnant Woman Votes En Route To Hospital

For anyone who ever thought they were too busy to vote, meet 21-year-old Galicia Malone.
The south suburban Dolton mom-to-be was spotted at her polling place Tuesday morning on her way to give birth at a local hospital.

Cook County Clerk David Orr said Malone's contractions were five minutes apart when she showed up around 8:30 a.m. at her precinct's location named, yes, New Life Celebration Church.

The clerk's office said Malone's water had already broken when she made the stop to vote in her first presidential election.

(Congrats and good luck!)

bad gameplay lol
I live in Ohio, and while I was out today I noticed that the Obama/Biden sign in front of one of the two houses in the neighborhood that have them had been destroyed. Shit's getting a bit outta hand.

Show us the pixels.
Its painfully obvious several cuts are made which the uploader blames his camera for - how convenient the cuts happen every time he presses a button. He throws 1 in before and 1 after for good measure.

If anyone buys this video is real then, by default, every video on the internet must also be believed to be real.

Trust me I didn't vote for Romney and I'm happy to say that but this video has red flags all over the place. Its a cute attempt at a hoax but nothing more.

Biggest trick the GOP ever pulled is making working class people think they are middle class.

Wish I knew exactly how they did that. Here in 'Bama common peasants think that they're Upper-Middle class just because they have a guard at the community gate and they made out like bandits in the early 90's...

I love that movie "Eyes Wide Shut" and am reminded how the main character was a wealthy doctor but stumbled upon real wealth in his society and saw just how low he is on the money ladder.

I see two hangs (they don't look like cuts to me) and one is a good second before he touches anything and then there is uninterrupted footage of him pushing it multiple times and then near the end of that is another hang. My phone's video function hangs very similar to that.

Is that what that movie was about? I thought Kubrick just wanted to shoot a lot of naked ladies

I like how the election brings out the worst in people. Woman hands me the ballot and announces that your a democrat and get people in the whole room including her saying ooooo a democrat he's sooo special.

WTF?

That's why I don't have a sign. If someone is going to take out their impotent rage on someone's house, let it be someone else's house.
