Has anyone here tried DMT or Ayahuasca?

Ayahuasca is a traditional Peruvian tea made by the indigenous peoples and administered by shamans during spiritual ceremonies. The tea contains DMT, an extremely potent psychoactive that is naturally occurring in the human body and is released during sleep (which causes dreaming), when you are born, and when you die.

Listen to Joe Rogan talk about DMT. Or listen to him describe what the experience of DMT is like.

DMT can be smoked, which is very, very short lived but is apparently more powerful. Ayahuasca is edible and last for hours, but is apparently less powerful. The ingredients to make Ayahuasca tea are legal to buy, although producing the tea itself from the ingredients is illegal. DMT powder (smokeable form) is highly illegal.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried DMT, or more specifically Ayahuasca, and what your experiences are.

My friend has had some DMT for the past few weeks just sitting in his desk drawer as we are apprehensive about trying it. We use LSD a few times a month, but DMT from what I have heard is a totally new level. The idea of doing a drug and going to "another dimension" as I've heard frightens me. I like my drugs, but I like to stay present and in control as much as I can for their duration.

Yeah, I did DMT a couple of months ago. It was absolutely incredible, I wish I could describe it but I dont really have the words for it. It was by far the most intense and earth-shattering visual experience I have ever had, and probably ever will have. For a brief period, if felt like I had "paused the game" of reality, so to speak, and was in what I can only describe as a dimensionless, timeless realm of perfect serenity. I highly encourage you to try it at least one time in your life, you will not regret it. The comedown is very very nice and the effects wear off fast.

I've done Salvia multiple times, as evidenced here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gFaNSk0o5U

That shit takes you to a completely different zone/existence. If you don't want to go to a different zone, that's okay, but it wasn't bad. I wasn't even in a place where I could comprehend "being in control" or "not being in control", so it didn't matter, if that makes sense. Sounds like DMT is even more intense.

My anatomy and physiology teacher talked about DMT the other day. Mentioned that some time ago, some scientist tried administrating DMT into the pineal gland of a dozen or so subjects. The professor said all of them witnessed the same thing, small little alien like people in another world.

Spooky stuff.

I did DMT, twice.
First time, I didn't inhale my whole hit, because it was really harsh, but the effect it gave me was a strong debilitating body high, and some hallucination. Everything in the room kinda turned yellow and there was a ringing noise the whole time. My arms felt melty, and moving them felt weird. I didn't really think it was strong.

Next time I tried it, I hit it correctly, and woah. The second I hit it I could already feel It. As I exhaled, it felt like helium was leading my body. I felt melty again, and then something that I still dot know how to put in words happened. I time traveled. For those like 5 minutes it felt like I was back in time to the first time I tried it, and then time jumped to the current day, but around a couple hours before I hit the DMT. Then when I was completely in the present time, the table I was kinda paying against, started sprouting small plants, and little black bugs were crawling all around. And then after a little bit more of that, my trip ended.

Now, my friend that was with me the second time, had an even bigger trip. And to this day he says he will never touch DMT again. He said that he saw some blue demon in the middle of some desert, telling him the meaning of the universe and other stuff. I kinda forgot what else happened In his trip.

Basically: DMT when hit correctly is very fucking hardcore. Craziest drug I've ever done, and I think I'll only do it again if I really feel like tripping.

Tried DMT years ago, was pretty interesting. I saw the atoms that build up any object I looked at. Particles and atoms were everywhere. That's all I can really remember. lol pretty intense, though if you've done Salvia you can probably handle this. They are both pretty similar in how they completely rip you out of anything resembling "reality". When I tried Salvia I was on the bed lying down and felt as if my fingers and toes were streams, my arms and legs were rivers, and my body was an ocean or lake. lol

I've done some strong salvia and it was a little too dissociative for me. If DMT is more potent in that regard I don't think I'd enjoy it.

I said goddamn. LSD a few times a month!?!

Any recommendations on where I should stand so it can find me better?

I've smoked 30x salvia from a bong and had a crazy experience. The body high is kind of shit tho, feels prickly. I've heard dmt is better in this aspect.
Usual drug dealers that sell hallucinogens , get into selling other hallucinogens. I found DMT off of my LSD and shroom person.

Oh and ask for dimitri.

The topix forums have lots of local drug market sub boards, Pop a thread on there and hope.

Disassociating that far from one's reality just doesn't sound like an enjoyable experience

A dmt trip sounds like pure reality.

Unjacking from this world into grand scale of things. Into real life.

Tried DMT with some friends a few years ago; actually posted about it on GAF:

Had some for the first (and probably last) time last weekend. My friend JJ and I drove up to Santa Barbara for the weekend to visit one of his friends, Austin. First day there, we all went out for pizza, then came back to his house and smoked a bowl. I guess they had been talking about doing it before (Austin had tried it twice and convinced JJ to try). They talked me into trying it too, with Austin acting as trip sitter.

We both took the hit -- he from a bong, me from a pipe -- and it hit me IMMEDIATELY as I exhaled. It felt like I was on a huge roller coaster, just about to take the first plunge; I wasn't prepared for it at all. The ceiling of his apartment opened up and I could see the sky outside, with the sun shining through and everything (it was pretty cloudy that day, IIRC). I looked around and saw the walls take on a life of their own -- textures were moving and shifting constantly, pictures staring at me, and colors bleeding everywhere. I closed my eyes, but that did nothing; I saw every shape and color imaginable. It was like looking into a kaleidoscope. I opened my eyes again, and the world now looked like someone had taken a paintbrush to it. I could see brush strokes constantly painting over everything in the apartment. I looked at my arm and saw the skin twist and change every second. It was the greatest feeling I'd ever had.

And then JJ started vomiting.

Up until then, I'd been loving the whole thing, going so far as to describe everything I saw to Austin. But apparently JJ wasn't doing so well. As soon as he took the hit, he passed out completely, hitting his head on the back of the futon he was sitting on. A minute or so later (about the time Picasso saw fit to paint my eyeballs), I heard Austin yell out JJ's name just before I heard the most ungodly noise erupt from his mouth.

Apparently, he had sat back up and started violently vomiting everywhere. I got scared immediately, and ended up curling into a ball on the other couch while Austin tried to deflect the geyser of puke into a bucket. I remember not daring to look at what was going on, lest I start getting sick myself. I just lay there crying and laughing, because hearing that shit was both intensely scary and absolutely hilarious at the same time. My friend sounded like Satan was ass-raping him with a lightning rod, and I was tripping balls having a staring contest with the couch cushions (I won!).

Eventually we both came down -- the trip lasts about 5-10 minutes -- and JJ (having no idea what happened) began freaking out as to why he was covered in puke. Austin and I spent the next few minutes calming him down, feeling relieved that he was okay.

Hell of an experience, and I'm glad I did it, but I'm not in a rush to try it again. JJ wants to though -- after hearing about my trip, he says he feels cheated out of an awesome experience. Yeah...

If you're down for a longer trip (than 15 minutes) you can legally purchase combos like Syrian Rue & Mimosa hostilis and make tea with DMT in it.

Will do.

Can we talk about bath salts too? What would you guys recommend for someone looking to get into them?

I did it once, but didn´t get a full hit. Of what I experienced, I loved it. The sensation it gives you is unlike anything else, and the colors are unbelievable. Everything became intensely saturated and glossy, textures moved, everything just felt *so real.* It's the only way I can describe what was going through my head. I also had some minor hallucinations, in that I was able to rearrange the bricks in my neighbor's house, and all the lights were spewing out rainbows.

I'd love to try a full trip, but I'm not in a rush.

I've done DMT about 6 or 7 times. It's beautiful. It's ineffable for the most part. It's a total spiritual experience though.

Load the universe into a cannon and fire into your brain. That's DMT. You know that scene in full metal alchemist when the main character has a shit ton of knowledge pouring into his head? That's totally what it felt like to me in a way.

Also, the djinn (or machine elves whatever) are cool and a voice once told me to "relax and enjoy yourself". It was cool.

If I happen across it, I will consider trying it. I've always been curious. I've done my share of shrooms and LSD, but it's been a while since I've pursued psychedelics.

Is it similar to LSD in that your current mood can heavily influence the direction of your trip or do you completely lose control?

Sounds awesome. Sadly, I'm pretty drug intolerant. My body just doesn't like it very much. Guess I'll just stick to weed.

I have a stash of DMT I bought awhile back. I tend to do some when I want to have a spiritual journey. It has provided me with a complete respect for this plane, my being, and others around me. I have been experiencing with lowered doses, but not completely breaking through, this has been very relaxing (imagine a powerful painkiller, with loss of motor skills). It's something different than anything else I've ever experienced in life. It shows you what it wants to show you, absolutely incredible. I also have some harmaline, when smoked prior to DMT will put you in hyperspace for 45+ min. I don't think I'm ready for that incredible amount of information.

I have seen God
He looks like the Emperor on Star Wars

What happened when I could fuck with salvia at fifteen. One bad experience with LSD has set me off from dissociatives and psychedelics. I've dealt with a lingering disconnect from others and life, though that's probably from the isolating factors of depression. Stimulants somewhat counteract this and ground me in reality more and reinvigorate interest in life.

How does salvia compare to DMT? I know both are relatively quick in duration, though subjectively the experience could feel much longer? I recall reading the story of a guy smoking salvia and becoming trapped as a bedroom wall, watching a newborn inhabitant grow in age over the years, crying after his parents' arguments to messing with his very first GF. Day in and day out, year after year this guy was an inanimate wall. That would fucking suck.

Actually me too if possible. Call me please.

I'll just wait till I'm dying to take that trip.

I actually wanted to try DMT years ago but when I read about the alien stuff, I completely chickened out.

timedog if you get some DMT can I come out west and smoke it with you?

or drink it or whatever.

Actually me too if possible. Call me please.

It's easily available online. I'll probably buy some before the end of the year. Anyone regular from drunk thread can come to my house and do weird herbal drugs whenever.

I also just bought a large amount of several other natural, legal herbal psychedelics I'm gonna try out.

Dmt pulls the veil back. I wonder how many atheists here have tried it. It'd like to see that point of view.

A few times a month is kinda a lot. I recommend stepping back and reevaluating this hobby.
