Stupid video games, ruining world peace for everyone.
The problem is you have people saying we need to ban certain models of guns because that will somehow curb gun crime (which is what the assault weapons ban in 1994 did and IT DID NOTHING). Both sides of the argument are stupid. There needs to be a gate stopping you from owning firearms through background checks and psych evaulations. But once you pass I dont see why you cant own what you want.
any link to Kindergarten Killers?
There were police officers stationed at my middle school and high school...kinda surprised that isn't the norm.
Why do these people act like violence is a new phenomenon that's spurred on by new media? It seems they would rather find something to blame than work hard to find a solution.I guess i just answered my question lol.
Unbefuckinglievable. Such stupidity actually leaves me speechless. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," said Wayne LaPierre.
Of course he didn't. Those games show guns being used by military personnel.
Notice how he didn't mention hunting games, either.

I can't kill dozens of real people with GTA. I'm not that accurate with throwing discs.
I can however kill dozens with assault rifles that shouldn't be on the market but are for some reason. There's no purpose to having guns at all, they can't be used as tools like knives can.
Everything encompassing responsibility for owning a firearm should be outlined. But once all those things are passed, why can I own whatever gun I want?Needs to be tighter controls on how guns are stored, in the uk which is pretty tough to own a gun in you have an officer come to your house and you have to show them where you plan on storing it securely then they have to deem it safe or not. These types of shooting you hear about how they got the weapons from a legal owner etc so storage of the weapons should be at the top of the list.
This is what americans do for automatic weapons and destructive devices. But they dont do it for anything else. Go figure.Someone said it in another thread. Make it like a driver's test. Need to be checked out every couple of years.
The whole thing was bizarre. You could tell that they were trying to be very careful with the games that they picked. That's why we see Splatterhouse and MK. Both of those games make very little use of guns, they're more about violence done through hand to hand combat or with random objects/weapons.
Wow. He sounded like even he didn't believe what he was reading from the press release.
Nice job NRA. You're not the problem at all. Guns are fine. It's the video games.
SMH.
It has relevance in that it gives ammo to those who want to blame videogames for school shootings. Whoever made that should publicly apologize and then donate any money he may have made off it to charity. Sicko. It's the first link if you Google it. It's a Flash game where you kill kindergarten kids with a gun. They have guns, too. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the last boss, or at least the boss I got up to before quitting.
It's a 10 year old Flash game. I'm pretty sure it has no relevance to anything at this point.
What the hell? Bulletstorm and especially Splatterhouse didn't even sell well. It's obvious that he avoided mentioned CoD
It's a shame really these people can't seem to grasp the problem, next shooting spree in the states is just a matter of time and it's always innocent people being gunned down by some maniac with access to guns. Until then people are going back and forth bickering about what's right or wrong and not reaching any kind of conclusion only to have the debate die down until the next spree.
"You know, five years ago, after the Virginia Tech tragedy, when I said we should put armed security in every school, the media called me crazy. But what if, when Adam Lanza started shooting his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School last Friday, he had been confronted by qualified, armed security?"
"Now, the National Rifle Association knows that there are millions of qualified active and retired police; active, reserve and retired military; security professionals; certified firefighters and rescue personnel; and an extraordinary corps of patriotic, trained qualified citizens to join with local school officials and police in devising a protection plan for every school. We can deploy them to protect our kids now. We can immediately make America's schools safer relying on the brave men and women of AmericaÂ’s police force.
The budget of our local police departments are strained and resources are limited, but their dedication and courage are second to none and they can be deployed right now."
"Before Congress reconvenes, before we engage in any lengthy debate over legislation, regulation or anything else, as soon as our kids return to school after the holiday break, we need to have every single school in America immediately deploy a protection program proven to work and by that I mean armed security."
As always, nobody should take anything the NRA says seriously.
School juggle leashings are at an all time high.Bulletstorm got a mention? Well now. The developer should be flattered.
Some more quotes:
You say no purpose to having guns at all.
I'll be having Venison this weekend, it will be delicious and the deer were killed by my family.

Or you could have just gone to the supermarket like a normal person.
So, they can't be used to hunt?
The rest of the world watches the same movies, plays the same games, and barely anything happens.
Or you could have just gone to the supermarket like a normal person.
