Utena came together quite nicely at the end.
While he has most certainly watched more shows than me, I doubt he'd know what that means. Well I suppose there's no harm in trying.

Zim's dead, man. I hate it even more than you do but it's time to move on.
There was a handshake event in the first series where the issue of the day was what to do with haters. Last episode also featured a handshaking event as part of the election arc.
And how I have over 100 posts perplexes me. Going to bed before it goes out of control.
There's been two episodes featuring handshake events. First introduced their crazy fans (who pilot mecha and fight for them), second involved the illegal co-opting of a member's imagery to sell soup or something. The center position stuff is the best. It's like a cursed position since Acchan disappeared in a puff of light all those years ago and they're just now bringing it back. Why? No one knows. The mystery of center nova drives my fascination.

Major props to the girls for
going ahead and performing at their basically empty concert.
revealed an empty audience I honestly thought we were going to be stuck with a 1-2 episode follow up of the girls trying to get back on their feet, because they looked absolutely crushed.
Anyway, solid episode. Hope their group rises in number soon.

This episode was really sweet, the show is certainly coming on its own now and is getting even more enjoyable now that more of the cast is introduced and we get more interactions between individual characters Shiori is pretty [REDACTED] and while the whole "shy character making friends with genki girls unexpectedly" is something that's been done a million times it didn't really affect my enjoyment of it especially when it's handled so well.

It's ok. I was kinda disappointed with it the first time I saw it. Might revisit it sometime and see if I still feel that way.

You should wait a year or two after finishing the series before watch it though, like I do.

Tamako Market 3
As I was watching this episode and struggling to find a thematic link that connects the three episodes, I suddenly remembered a scene from episode 2:
And with the story about Shiori in this episode, it's starting to become clear that the show is about communication and human connections. Of course, overtly we see that with Tamako's relationship with the rest of the shop owners in the market, which is made manifest with the two "greeting" scenes that happen in episode 3, but we see it in many other ways as well.
And probably many more that I have completely forgotten. Of course, it's hard to pinpoint what the show is about, but maybe that serves to further this theme of communication and the difficulties that we have expressing ideas to other people.
At the very least, the show is starting to come together for me in a nice way... which is probably better than waiting 11(.5) episodes for Hyouka to come together and having Chuu2's premise be so transparent that I predicted that one of her parents is probably dead based strictly on the show description alone.
Random episode 3 notes:
This shot was such porn and made up for a lot of the money saving closeups that they used a few times in other scenes.
I swear there was a girl with half bangs in K-On!! I'm sure Chet would know for sure. lol
And speaking of other KyoAni shows, this is a moment that is basically ripped right out of

- Putting on the bunny suits to advertise the shopping district locally
- The actual district meeting that starts off the whole campaign
- Mochizo's various attempts to communicate with Tamako
- Midori, if you want to buy into the whole fake-yuri thing
- Valentine's day and what it (at least in terms of the cliche) represents
- Shiori throughout this entire episode
- The class introductions, where you have to situate yourself in relation to your peers

Well, in the real world, they sell "CDs" which ostensibly have a "single" on them with music and stuff. These CDs also contain a code for 1 vote in the election. You can imagine how crazy the otakus get for it.
The whole seated in multiple rows with the spotlights and everything that they show in the anime is exactly the same in real life.

A pretty much 9/10 episode in terms of comedy ... and it was just standard gintama antics with the cast..
They even bothered to include their kids and the cast being married.. i guess the ideas for fillers can come from everywhere lol.
(Madao = famicom ) = WTF ( but it was a good joke ).
The second part was also nice, featuring some good vibes and jokes and stuff from the old serie filler.
Verdict : EXCELLENT

Ah yeah, that's fine. As long as the show was in 2012 it's fine even if it's not on the list yet; stuff like that must have slipped through the cracks when I made the big list. I've added it now too.
