Don't stop the music Platinum. Just make a sequel to Vanquish when you're done with Bayonetta
 
I wonder if Mistral's yellow eye flash denotes that the attack is unblockable, or if she just gets a special colour because she's a boss.

I've probably played the ZoE demo now, more than some games I've payed full price for. February 22, can't come soon enough.

Funny. I used to think Gaf overhyped Platinum Games too much. But after finally completing Vanquish last year, going back and giving Bayonetta the playtime it deserves and playing the MGR demo over and over, i'm officially in the fan club now and it feels good.

Will there be any options to turn off blood (or turn it white) or to turn off dismemberment? If you can't, will it be possible to play through the game without dismembering people in slow motion?

My wife's a gamer too and we've played through and enjoyed all the other MGS games ---- she loves the series but is very turned off by the over-the-top violence of Jack The Ripper. We'd really like to play the game, but will only be able to if we can tone down the gore.

No chance. The dismemberment is one of the game's main focuses. The upgrade and health/Zandatsu energy systems depend on it.

Maybe there's a way to change the blood's color but you won't find an option to turn off the dismemberment, at this point it's a feature of the game.

You will probably be able to change the color of the blood. Dismemberment? lolno.

These video really help you look for the ques when to parry. It's remind me of Batman: AA & AC when you see an effect above bad guy's head right before he hits you.

The Monsoon battle looks awesome. Cutting a boss apart and having them just float back together is an interesting gameplay mechanic.
 
Must.. Not.. Look.. The demo got me even more hyped (even with wacky, weird gesticulating Kev waving his hands around like he just doesn't care) but I got want to avoid any and all spoilery bit of info now but I can't help myself.
 
is there any other game mode besides Story Mode?

I want a sandbox mode with hundreds of watermelons.

It does. I cut all the regular melons up and one about the size of a car dropped down onto a platform.

These vids are sick! How the hell are you supposed to beat Monsoon!?!?
