I think I only have time to indulge in one purchase. My choice is either FFV or Origins[which I think is FFI & II]; I haven't played either of them.

I maaaay get Dissidia 2 for that price; game seems like something I would like, just no time etc. I already own FFT on PSN, and although having another version of FF6 is always exciting the PS1 version has horrific load times.

I already own PSN versions of VII and VIII, even though I already have disc versions, but V might be worth it for $5 to finish the game off. I started it while I had PS+, but my $17.49 year subscription from the target ad mess up ended in December and it would be nice to just buy it for $5 and throw it back on my PSP.

If i dont own any of these and have only played a little of tactics, ff7and ff9. What should i get?
You really should experience FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX all the way through at least once in your life. They're memorable RPGs. Get those three games.
Not a fan of fighting games either, yet I love Dissidia. This game is in fact nothing like any other game, aside from, maybe, Gundam PSP.

I was thinking of purchasing FFT but I forgot it was free for PS+ members earlier this year haha.

It's not at all unplayable: in fact I just got 75% through it for the first time ever on Vita: although ironically the load times are worse if you set the fast loading disc option.

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
If you skip the bolded ones because the former is a paid demo of duodecim and the latter already has a sequel which is heavily expanded from the base game, everything will cost $55.
FFIII came out recently so maybe that's why it didn't get a discount.

Nice! I was hoping there'd be a US sale as I don't want the PAL versions of the PS1 games, was very nice playing through 60Hz FF7 last year on PSP (am playing IV at the moment, also have US IX to go through sometime).
Gonna grab VIII and give that a shot, I suspect I won't dig it too much as I think FF plots are generally pretty bad as they are, but VIII looks like something else...plus Spoony's review made the game look like a slog in many ways. Still, at the price it'll be interesting to try at least. I actually know someone who claims it's his favourite game, so I may have to handle it with kid gloves

Nope. So Prologus is pretty much $3 to unlock Aeris assist.
9! 8 is a waste of time
One thing I will say is that FF7 looked nice on the PSP, the pre-rendered backgrounds were fine as they were at their original resolution.
The bigger bugbear was the terrible translation, obscuring what is already a messy plot. Such a shame, bad translations can be painful to wade through in old RPGs. Thank god standards have improved over time!

8's junction system is pretty esoteric and can dissuade newcomers, I still didn't quite get it until maybe 5-10 hours in

Either the system I'm playing breaks, the PC gets fried and I lose my save or the disc gets ripped in half.
