Football Thread |OT13| This title has been fixed

I really do disagree that we've got an average team individually. Carrick has been just as important as RVP this year, Ferdinand and Evra have been very good, Rafael's been fantastic all season, and DDG has saved us far more than he's let us down.

Like I said earlier, we're not the best United team. But we're better than we're given credit for.

Yeah, and credit to Rafael, he has been great for us this season.

Our defense is getting its shit together, now we just need our MFs to buck up.

Damn Man City.. so shit lol.

Yeah, its debatable and it comes down to personal preference really; I've seen far more of Dortmund than I have PSG this year.

If I had to rank (not just based off CL performance, but league and general strength). It basically just comes down to a bunch of random shit pulled together thats entirely arbitrary, but fuck it.

1. Barcelona
2. Bayern Munich
3. Real Madrid
4. Juventus
5. Borussia Dortmund
6. Manchester United
7. Atletico Madrid
8. Paris St. Germain
9. Manchester City
10. Napoli

Man Utd ahead of Dortmund. PSG ahead of Atletico. Neverkusen in Napoli's place. :p

I'd have Juve above Madrid personally for reasons I won't bore you with. And you missed Liverpool on there :)

I didn't think the season was over when United had the eight point lead last year. And I still don't think the season is over even though we have a chance to go 12 points clear tomorrow.
It's still only February.

25 games in and United have only dropped 11 points. If the lead is extended to 12 tomorrow United will have to drop more points in the last 12 games then that have dropped in 26. City will drop more points yet.

It's over. Finished. Finito.

You fucking cunts.

The whaaa

Roberto Mancini:

"I don't think in these last two years there is a team that has played better than us.

"Manchester United is a strong team, Chelsea is a strong team but I think in the last two years Manchester City is the team that has played better in the Premier League.

"We are a strong team. We have been unlucky because we lost two or three players in January for the African Cup.

"Yaya (Toure) is an important player for us. When he doesn't play he is important. We've missed him a lot in these last 20 days."

de gea gets way too much flack, but i do think he's a talented keeper.

and as for those other players with the exception of van p-p-per... sie..., i don't agree.

We should take the opportunity to do so.

The game in Madrid is huge. We now have a 9 point cushion at least. We need to try and make some use of it.

I'm thinking he'll be tempted to start with a strong team and try to get a 12 point lead.We have a pretty good squad so whoever comes in, I still think we should be able to beat Everton at home. Rooney might be rested after his 90 mins midweek, along with Kagawa. I wouldn't mind Giggs playing, he's been great the past couple of games he's played.

It certainly doesn't have the spark of last season but there are plenty of really interesting sub-plots, the CL race is heating up. The bottom half of the table is really fucking tight, it'll be interesting to see how that all ends. There will still be a twist or two in the title but the result will be the same, United have it, it's just a question of by how much.

CL should be a secondary concern.

Play the full team tomorrow and try for the 12 point lead. Try and close the door on City.

I think RVP and Rooney should start on the bench. Hernandez and Kagawa up front. Save Vidic for Wednesday too.
