I assume this is some sort of tacit acknowledgement that MS will at least say something about the next-generation this month (whether its an announcement of an event or a tease).
march unveil confirmed.
What's CVGs track record with their rumors?
If IllumiRoom is a real product, can they show something at the april event?
Is this patent related to IllumiRoom or Fortalezza?
Stay tuned for more information and a paper explaining all the details coming up at ACM CHI 2013.

The only fear I have is they'll wont have a standard controller in the box. So it's play games with Kinect or not at all. I'm out if that's the case.
Yes IllumiRoom is real. Microsoft will showcase it in detail at ACM CHI 2013 (27. April - 2. May).

That's not surprising since that's where 3dv (3d depth sensing game camera) was before Microsoft bought them pre-Kinect

3dv's zcam was a tof camera... If they are the ones developing the new kinect will it be a tof camera too?
It would explain the marginal increase in res for the leaked specs, as well the comments about it being more precise.
Gearing up for the next gen! Rare has been snatching up a lot of folk from Codemasters lately.
What does "tof" stand for?

I misworded my question. I meant to point out that it is a bit concerning that they've only recently hired people for projects. I would have assumed they had multiple projects in the works for at least a year by now. But maybe they're just ramping up for the final stretch before release...
"Welcome to March" is most likely a reference to the new Gears game.

That came to my mind as well.

I hope cvg sources are wrong, they need GDC to give open talks to developers.
Why should it be a reference if he also could have said it more directly. I doubt it.
Even if they're event is in April, doesn't mean they can't talk about next gen in March.

Don't know. Could be a reference to an ad campaign that's revving up. Every leak about Microsoft's launch plans say April.
That's a possibility, which would also allow devs to talk about their next gen Xbox games.
Shame that the Rare we once loved died a long time ago, otherwise might be excited.

it would be a weird attempt to hype the new gow.
I will never get this logic.
