Not sure if serious.
KZ2 is a rock solid 30FPS, even during multiplayer.
Well not during high player count MP.
But Single player doesn't drop below the 20's

Pretty sure the frame rate is a consistent 30fps. It's the dead zone and acceleration on the controls that's causing the issue. Do you have precision mode enabled in controls? Just give it a while, and remember, it's not COD or Battlefield. Don't use iron sites a lot. Stick with hip fire.
Am I the only one that sees a relation between helgast and nazis?
They fixed the controls in KZ3. The high input lag was removed and so were the deadzones. It's as responsive as any Battlefield game.
So, is this game supposed to be a side story of some sort? It really seemed like Visari was alive after Killzone 3, I wonder why would he stay quite for 30 years?
There's a group of people who think you actually killed Visari's double or clone in Killzone 2 and that he is still alive. I'm not buying it, he's dead. Plus even if he isn't he was 52 in Killzone 2 so he'd be about 83 in Shadow Fall, likely dead anyways. But I'm sure that group of people will argue he was put into some deep sleep preservation chamber. It is essentially Killzone 4.
And why is Visari alive?
Am I the only one that sees a relation between helgast and nazis?
The first level on the first killzone with that fight in the trenches ( totally WWI), and just take a look at the helgast symbol. Nazis colors and style all over it.
That's why I find it hard to believe that we will ever get to play as an helgast.
And similarly the Helghasts had nothing to do with the First Extrasolar War (all 3 games take place during the Second Extrasolar War).I can't tell if you're joking or not. Everything about them is designed around the Nazi's, from the helmets to the trenchcoats, so no, I suspect you aren't the only one. But also, the Nazis had nothing to do with WW1. They aren't some returning bad guy that struck again in the sequal, WW2.

There is credence to that theory. The entire opening of KZ3 and it's ending point to Visari being alive and at least having some foresight on the events that would transpire in the aftermath of both KZ2 and KZ3. Also consider that cryotechnology is being used to preserve him, I don't see why this theory may appear far fetched. Also his speech in the opening of KZ3 states, to paraphrase "I will lead from these days to the end of times".
I guess Limanima worded it weird but the main point is that it's doubtful they'd have you sympathize with a group they modeled after the Nazis.I can't tell if you're joking or not. But I think that at this point they've fleshed them out into their own thing and they can get away with having you play as them. It's like with the horde in Warcraft, on the surface they seem super evil but their motivations make sense as you go through their story.
Totally disagree. The controls were improved, but they are nothing like battlefield. They still need work. To be honest, this conversation shouldn't even be happening. They made an expensive FPS and they can't even get the controls right.
Lets agree to disagree. There is NOTHING wrong with KZ3's controls.
I'm playing KZ2 at the moment and I almost want to stop playing because of the shitty controls. And shitty framerate. Good thing that the controls are better in KZ3. Playing shooters on PC really spoiled me I think lol
Gamespot - What We Crave From Killzone: Shadow Fall
Never thought of that! It would have been so awesome
That would've been 200 times more interesting.
The only thing wrong with that is the link has the details wrong. There is no ship labeled with the ISA logo, when you see the ship leaving you can clearly tell that it was simply the nuke labeled ISA. Furthermore the ISA nuke is the "package." The reason they call it a "package" and not a nuke is because the Helghasts don't have a nuke and wanted to blame the nuking of their city on the ISA, so they were taking extra precaution to make sure no one knew what they had acquired.Yup, this sums it up pretty well
Killzone 3′s Intro Cinematic Reveals Visari’s Deception (Spoilers)
My only question if this is indeed the case, why would he stay quiet for 30 years?
It would definitely be interesting to watch people's reaction to being on the same team as the terrorist who just executed two people (one civilian) in cold blood.

You didn't mass murder the whole planet, you accidentally set off a chain reaction that irradiated the planet. You had no clue you were over the center of the pretrusite grid and it would do that. And not everyone on the planet died, as evident by all the refugees we see in Shadow Fall.Well if you are on the other side you stay on the team that mass murdered a whole planet summing it up so .... it's a lose lose situation i guess.
There is no such thing as "getting the controls right". The only way you can make controls wrong is if activating a control doesn't result in the labeled response (e.g. pushing "fire" actually jumps). Everything beyond that is design.Totally disagree. The controls were improved, but they are nothing like battlefield. They still need work. To be honest, this conversation shouldn't even be happening. And I like that, not every sci-fi needs humans finding other intelligent life quickly after setting for the stars.I am wondering, how come we see human species in the Killzone universe? It would be nice to see other species, not fight them human vs. monsters kind of way, but just expanding and enriching the Killzone universe. I mean Killzone is the only fiction anything about space that i know of which does not have other species, aliens.

It seems like the ultimate twist is to bring in a third alien faction that causes Heghast and the Americans to uniteI am wondering, how come we see human species in the Killzone universe? UCN will show up with crazy ass high tech shit and start curb stomping everyone in sight...
The turn around moment will be in the middle of a firefight of epic scale...Helghast and VSA in cover, getting shot... attrition setting in and then a bomber completely disrupts the battle and blows half the area you are in apart. You wake up and look next to you and a Helghast shock trooper is looking at back at you. The both of you turn and look towards the direction of the explosion and down from a Troop Transport slide 8 sleek, large murder machines from earth. You both start to defend yourselves and eventually have to fall back into the safety of a building and retreat. This is where the conversation happens... and you make a Helghan BFF for life.
I could handle that.

The more I think about this, the more it needs to happen.
We cannot have another trilogy of ISA v. Helghast. Something needs to be shaken.
This is it.
We already have the BFF's. The protagonist in the trailer, and the other Helghast elite that's been shown in the concept art. There needs to be an enemy that ISA and Helghan can rally against.

Maybe the terrorist group is secretly funded by the UCN to incite another war so they can sweep up after.
Got a linky for that Helghast Elite?
And yes... I basically just can't imagine that GG would think they could get away with just rehashing the us vs. them model from the last 3 games. We know the Helghast are bad. We know the ISA fucks up at every possible opportunity. That's old hat. Something has to give.
Can you imagine if the UCN had been spending all this time developing war machines to walk in an just lockdown the entire sector? finally tired of the ISA not listening to orders and the Helghast causing so much shit they throw up their arms "These barbarians can't live without a master holding the whip to keep them from killing each other. Lets go lay down the law."
The opening for a quite scene where you and Helghast Elite guy are hiding from an overwhelming force and have to talk to each other in hushed whispers practically writes itself.
"They here because of you and your peoples wanton arrogance. If the Helghan people had taken this planet we would have been prepared for this..."
"Noise discipline. And you really think you could have handled this when you couldn't handle Alpha? Were in this together now. And the whole block can hear you breathing through that damn mask. Here... one of your filter cables is loose. . . . There. Fixed. Now shut up."
Maybe the terrorist group is secretly funded by the UCN to incite another war so they can sweep up after.
Yea right before the main ISA force gathered in the city of Pyrrus would be my guess. Also pay some attention to the details in the opening of KZ3, why would Visari's daughter pull away from him in disgust, when moments before she seemed happy to see him... "father" *Visari's double then takes her hand and she now knowing the deception from what I assume to be some personal detail pulls away, having been fooled. There's insinuations that something isn't as what it seems to be. "Sir, we have to go the ISA are here" remember that line as the KZ3 opening ended? Why just tack that on if it had no value and the same can be said about Visari's speech, "leading until the end of days" should catch your attention... Also consider why would Radec kill himself as opposed to martyrdom and killing Sev and Rico and preventing Visari's supposed death or capture? Simply he didn't want to be caught and interrogated, giving up the ruse of the double and Visari placed in hiding. And finally KZ3's ending who might you suggest was in that capsule? I hold firlmly to the belief that Visari has masterminded his supposed death to simply have those who would vy for his position to be killed by the ISA and after the ISA had decimated his people, he would resurface and paint himself and his people as victims and use that as a springboard to garner more support against the UCA, not just with other Helghast but the other colonies as well. Remember that all colonies live in fear of the UCA for what they have done against the Helghast in the past, with his oratory skills, Visari could evoke feelings of rebellion spacewide. The opening of KZ3 was clearly something that happened in the past

Is there anything on PC that offers the same weight as KZ2? Genuine question, because it's unique in that respect as far as I know. I know a lot of people hated it, butthey're wrongit's my favourite FPS of the current generation.
Wow that is some awesome art.
I really don't mind playing as Helgan. Why Guerrilla is so insisting that players must play as ISA?
Why the fuck when someone mentions controls in KZ2 or KZ3 everybody tries to defend that with "you know weight !"
I is not about damn weight at all. Killzone 2 have 100ms+ input lag plus deadzones like mutherfucker. When they patched precision aiming they fixed a lot deadzones but still acceleration which they used was something out of Playstation 1 FPS.
Killzone 3 had a lot better aiming but still it was fucking annoying to fight with controls.
They need to fix their acceleration script.
I COD4 i can pull off headshots in seconds with few twitches in killzone 2 i had to correct many times my shoots same as Killzone3.
I don't care if gun has recoil, takes 1 second to shot or you screen shake. I care when i try to aim at something and i am offshooting because of terrible controlls.
Killzone2 controls were even worse than Resistance 1. It felt like playing PS1 FPS where things like lag, acceleration scripts and deadzones were something unknown to developers.
