Iron Man that low?

Hold the fuck up.

Yooooo where is that gif from? Did I miss an Iron Man 3 trailer? Or is it from the part of Iron Man 2 where I fell asleep?

Hahaha. Well, there is Alukard and Joker.

Are you up to play? Or anyone else? Always so much talk about Marvel, not enough playing!

I would've played you last night, but I gotta get lunch soon and then write a paper =\ If I body that paper quickly, I'll play you later if you're still around.

Triforce posted something about VxG is going to have 85K in money and prizes.

Regarding the FGC panel:

That's really cool, hopefully a lot of people who normally wouldn't know about it/be as interested check it out.

You're still on Dragon's Dogma and checking GAF, so you might as well play me for 20 matches instead.

I do think that hype comes out of situations, and not characters, though. Any character has the potential to be hype or boring.
Truest statement.

That Iron Man trailer got my dick ROCK HARD!

I guess I was the only one kinda "meh" about the Iron Man 3 trailer.I just want to see World War Hulk, House of M, or an X-force movie. But unfortunately 2 out of those 3 events would have to be a fox movie and we all know how that turns out.

There are rumours that World War Hulk may be in the cards for the Hulk movie's course, but there have been rumours saying thats not true either.

IM3 trailer is too godlike. Extremis + elements of Armor Wars? Hell yeah. Also, the movie has the least SHIELD stuff of any MCU movie yet, for people who don't like that overlap stuff.

Honestly Iron man arcs are ok. I like the concept of the Armor Wars, but it isn't enough to grab my attention like the other marvel stuff. I wished Fox didn't own rights to Doom, I would love the shit out of any good Doom movies.

I want Marvel get to get back the FF stuff so bad.

I'm uploading some MvC3 matches from a session we had a couple weeks ago. During the course of the evening, we found out that two of the guys present, who live 2 hours apart and never played each other, both played the same team: She-Hulk/Chun-Li/Trish. So we demanded they run a money match. The play isn't super high level or anything, but it was fun to watch. Check 14:15.

I like how Wesker and Spencer have arguably the best command throws in the game

Felicia has most range on her command grab but Wesker has better ground movement and normals to pressure the opponent into getting grabbed. Spencer has threat of anti-air command grab as well along with a legitimate high low mix up on top of a command throw. Thor also has air to air command throw but terrible ground movement.

Skrull technically has most range but he has to choose on his ranges plus there's a lot,of start up on his.

Practically speaking Spencer and Wesker have the best command throws because of their overall toolset.

Im fairly certain felicia's ground movement shits on weskers as well. Vastly even. She's one of the fastest characters in the game forwards or backwards

So design-wise, why do you think Wesker has a useless ground throw and a godlike command grab? Why not just give him his command grab as his normal throw? It's not like people spend a lot of time mashing s.H with Wesker anyway, though maybe they would if his normal grab was combo-able. But since the command grab has the same startup time, it seems weird to not just make it his normal grab. The command grab is actually easier to land in some instances as well, since you can dash up into it without having to halt your dash before throwing.

Yup it is, I didn't say she had better normals for a reason :lol

eh I consider it part of his movement due to how fucking scared people get. I'm not really afraid of felicia until she is on top of me (no pun intended), but if wesker is like little less than half screen I get worry about dash-up cr. B/command grab.

Has the same startup time but doesn't have the same input time. If command grab was his standing normal grab then I would just hold back at the start of every round. There are pros and cons to both of them but I think the pros would outweigh the cons if his normal grab was similar to his command grab.

edit: Oh, useless ground throw, I totally misread that as useless counter initially as I was skimming. Beef is correct.

I hope I'm not the only one who sees why this is a bad idea.

The Zangief thing doesn't make sense to me since I'm not a Street Fighter player and throws are an entirely different animal in that game.

My question was more about the thinking behind the decision to structure Wesker's grab options in that way. It's obviously very intentional, but I don't know much about fighting game design so it's not immediately apparent to me why someone would make that choice. The other thing is that if Wesker's command grab was his regular grab, it could be teched, so that would actually make him weaker with grabs.
