This is too much for me. :lol
It's not so much whether he likes the game enough so much as it is a question of whether he can stylize it right with his team and give it the feel it needs. It's just the basic logic of this: who would you want to build you a jet? A guy experienced in building jets, or a guy experienced in building personal aircrafts who really likes jets? I'd go with the guy who is experienced in building jets. That's Niitsuma. He has made two games balanced around air dashing, which is a signature feature of Darkstalkers. Ono added one character with air dashing to AE, and no one even uses his air dash (that I see).TBH I have a hard time believing someone who is absolutely in love with Darkstalkers and has been pushing for it internally for years would fuck it up just based upon how he treated Street Fighter IV. He may even be a bigger fan of DS than he is SF, in which case applying his treatment of SF, which he may be a bit less knowledgeable of, to DS might be a bit of a stretch.
It's all maybes, yeah, but I don't see him compromising important stuff like the speed.
I wish to join the Brotherhood of Darkstalkers...4.Get out of my mind, Karsticles.

Eh, the Makoto comparisons aren't really here nor there. I will say that though she definitely has more ways to set up karakusa than Fei does to set up tenshin. Besides, can't TK tsurugi beat crouch tech?Reacting to 14 frames on the fly is practically impossible. You can react to jab into command grab, though it's still pretty tough.
And right, having a slow command grab means it can easily get stuffed by crouch techs and whatnot. That's why Fei players tend to not use it unless it's cancelled from jab or as a meaty. Same shit with Makoto.
Argh. My flight gets in that morning. Going to be very close to try to make that panel. Might need to reschedule my flight. I assume the line for it will be huge? (Never been to PAX before.)
Who is Kelly Nylander?
A gimmick to me is something that you will most likely get beat by/hit by if you have never seen it before but the more you play it/see it the more you realize how situational it is and can be dealt with appropriately.

Lost Fragment said:I'm more of a Chun guy these days, but I put a shitload of time in with Makoto in the past, so I'm pretty familiar with slow-ass command grabs with very little range. In that sense, there's like 0 difference between her command grab and Fei's.
afaik, that's James Chen's girlfriend.
Fair enough. But Ono was pretty much a personal aircraft maker before SFIV too, which is why I think most of the flak comes from people thinking he'll be skewed by what he's done most recently more than anything. And again, you handle air dashing in something like AE WAY differently than you would in the framework of a completely different game. Airdashes in SF aren't meant to work or be crucial to gameplay like they are in DS/Marvel.It's not so much whether he likes the game enough so much as it is a question of whether he can stylize it right with his team and give it the feel it needs. Plus, Ono was given SFxT, and it's not interesting at all. He didn't do anything interesting with it! So I wonder if he's tapped out or something. Plus I wonder if his team knows how to make Morrigan not look like a freak.
Yeah the niche genre is kind of forgetting about the golden years, but I think it's just phrased that way to refer to the past 10 years or so.This sounds so ridiculous when the SF2 era was the high point and the current era just consists of most franchises trying to claw back up.
That's F. Champ's list for Doom's matchups, in case anyone is interested in another one of his lists.
Doom only loses to Vergil if Vergil has SS active otherwise Vergil does not have good answers to most of Doom's actions. If Doom stays in the upper corner of screen he owns Wolverine too... really badly in fact. Doom also doesn't beat Thor. That's F. Yeah the line will probably be long especially they are giving away free swag.
Isn't Ayano heading up SFxT?Fair enough. Even if he's helming DSIV, I ponder how much involvement he'll actually have. I mean I know he wants it really bad, but what if he just ends up throwing it to Ayano-san?
The thing about these matchups is Haggar and Hulk just need one good hit, and Doom has to play a very long keepaway game. I know that feeling. :-(Somehow even worse than usual.
Haggar and Hulk as even matchups oh my god.

I think Ayano was thrown onto SFxTK after it came out and it was his job to patch and fix it. But I believe he worked under Ono on SFxTK during the course of it too in a subordinate role.Isn't Ayano heading up SFxT?
IMO, if you give a character a way of movement no other character has, it should be essential to his/her gameplay. That's how you create unique and interesting characters.

Yeah, Ayano got promoted to the SFxT fix crew once Ono got "sick."I think Ayano was thrown onto SFxTK after it came out and it was his job to patch and fix it. But I believe he worked under Ono on SFxTK during the course of it too in a subordinate role.
Hard for me to argue with the latter half of your post though.
Triforce is a good businessman. What's Jaxel going off about? My internet is too shitty currently to watch any streams :/
This kind of discussion (and quite a lot of what's been on the past page and a half) belongs in the marvel thread but WHAT THE FUCKDoes this make Dormammu the best now?

There should be more Heroes and Heralds money matches. They would be so hype.
There's something magical about watching Haggar do multiple command grab resets on Vergil just to fuck with the guy.
Because Vergil can't escape those resets. There's something magical about watching Haggar do multiple command grab resets on Vergil just to fuck with the guy.
