This is crazy. MS is really keeping Durango close to their chest.
Other than tons of documents, specs and dev kits leaking?
Told you guys not to get excited about the Tom Warren tweet. This is the resulting article.
Other than tons of documents, specs and dev kits leaking?
I'd like to think it could also pretty normal to wait (mostly) patiently for real news rather than jump on obvious bait. That's what I try to do. Working so far. When one company reveals nothing about their new console, while the other one has... Grasping for straws at any possible hint is quite normal.
Other than tons of documents, specs and dev kits leaking?
If that stuff is all confirmed. Yes.
But nothing new like the PS4 info blowout.

Like I really want to know what the 3GB is reserved for.
Dev kits leaked?
What info blow out , we knew most of the stuff about PS4 for months .
If the leaks are right there don't got much left to find out about 720 hardware wise , they still got services which can change .
Right..Yes, one is officially announced and the other isn't. Other than that a lot is known. What you are asking for would not be part of a public announcement anyhow, you won't know it unless a dev leaks it.

To be honest we still don't know much about the services offered by either manufacturer. That is a big deal, presumably saved for e3...
PS3 was rumored to double as a George Foreman Grill... we all know how that turned out. =[
On what basis?Probably almost nothing of that is current any more.
MS is pulling an Apple.

How is it hyperbole? VGleaks is far from the only one leaking stuff...Holy crap...talk about hyperbole.
Yeah, poor VGleaks is literally buried under a mountain of Nextbox documents. It may be months before they can dig themselves a tunnel to the surface.

Yeah, poor VGleaks is literally buried under a mountain of Nextbox documents. It may be months before they can dig themselves a tunnel to the surface. <sarcasm>
And SuperDae's "Development Kit" appears to be Alpha or even pre-Alpha...and it certainly did not feature final hardware, in any way shape or form.
didn't they say orbis was 4 gb of ram?Calm down, I don't ever recall so much info on an unreleased console. If the leaks hold up as well as the Orbis ones, then we literally know almost everything about the hardware. If that saddens you, then sorry.
Yeah i know looking forward to it from both companies but i guess it much harder to get info on the software side of things .
Plus certain things can change of the software side rather easy for eg no used games .
So the possibility of 16GB RAM for Durango is high? Other than that, the leaked specs were down right accurate to the last bit.didn't they say orbis was 4 gb of ram?

Some one should do this, seriously. The VGLeaks guys have responded in the past and we should be able to get some kind of answer on this as well. You could create a pretty awesome sliding timeline of VG's information. I've heard the Durango information is from:
2009
2010
2011
2012
2013
How does that indicate MS changing specs???The only reason why I think the specs will change is looking at the 360 launch. the E3 prior to launch where all the demos were running on Apple G5 development kits.

It seems Sony changed it pretty close to the announcement. So your point is they were off on one number therefor...?

What would the point of 16GB of RAM be? Right now, there's a possibility that no major titles will even have loading screens.
One may ask the question if these "multiple" leaks are not all commenting upon the same one or two old documents, as their ultimate sources for rumored Nextbox specifications.
And I qualified it as "hyperbole", because the original poster used the expression "tons of documents".
I know, I was questioning that bit ..What would the point of 16GB of RAM be? Right now, there's a possibility that no major titles will even have loading screens.
Magic?
There will always be loading screens, but not in the traditional sense of the term. What would the point of 16GB of RAM be? Right now, there's a possibility that no major titles will even have loading screens.
Dont forget the DMEs and their JPEG decoding abilities!Well I imagine that they'd be able to preload a lot of information from an HDD or a Blu-ray to such an ample pile of RAM. If streaming worked so well with some current gen titles, I can't think that loading all the time for new areas is a necessity.

Gemüsepizza;49869402 said:2009/2010? Do you have a source for that, because I am pretty sure even Microsoft didnt knew the current specs back then. And whats wrong with the other dates? If the specs did not change... then they did not change.

Because The G5 was not final hardware or even that close. And what we know now about the specs are development kits specs.
Wasn't that G5 dev kit sent out in the alpha kit? Quite sure it wasn't in the beta dev kit
In before someone asks OMG DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING because you made a short post.Patience fellow Gaffers.
