Giant Bomb Official lives on

Just watched the Ken Levine interview, really cool. I think they failed to talk about some of the obvious things like his role in the cancellation of the film, and the DLC plans for Infinite, but it was cool, just to give someone enough time to really ruminate on their thoughts and let an interview progress more like a typical conversation.

I wish they'd do more of these. Obviously very few people command the kind of attention Ken Levine does, and very few people are going to want to do something like this if they're not forced to in order to sell a game, but it'd be great if they could make something of a habit of doing these.

I had to laugh at Patrick talking over Ken Levine. Dude doesn't discriminate, I'll give him that.

I don't think it's intentional, I think it's because he asks a question, then immediately doesn't like the way it came out so he re-asks it with a different flavor. The interviewee begins to respond but doesn't realize Patrick isn't done talking yet.

There was also an instance in there where he butt-in to summarise Levine's thought and then finish it for him though. Not a dig either, really, it was pretty obvious he felt the need to contribute something after a pretty long one-sided discussion between Levine and Jeff.

Congrats on getting Ken Levine to talk about Sway
Levine would make a great non-PR guest, the end of that interview was great.

Stuff like that can happen in a conversational setting like this, as opposed to a traditional "ask question, get answer" interview.

Sounded a lot like a child butting into a conversation between adults.

If they're gonna put no names on the bombcast they might as well invite me.

Brian Altano is from the Comedy Button, one of, if not the very first wildly successful Kickstarter campaigns.

I'm not saying that puts him on the gaming name level of an Adam Sessler or anything, but he's definitely well liked.

Goddammit Patrick was annoying in that interview. Was still a very enjoyable video though and Patrick is a good guy, but he needs to stop interrupting people all the time.

again..who?

If randoms with a twitter account can petition to be on the bombcast, just get Wario64.

That would probably be the day I swear off the Bombcast for all eternity. Please spare us from your opinions.

But my opinions..they so right! Your's..so wrong..

Jeff casts a big shadow and has a natural rapport with Ken. Must be difficult trying to fit in in a situation like that.

More guests on the bombcast would be welcome but a guest normally means Vinny isnt on and if they have no Vinny then they might as well not do a bombcast that week.

You non-believers should listen to the Comedy Button.
I straight up can't listen to it while i'm commuting because I can't stop laughing some episodes.

Pretty ignorant response. He has done it both times giantbomb has had these interviews. Wasn't he apparently learning from the constructive criticism?

That wasn't aimed at you. Not aimed at that interview either. What you said just reminded me of a scene from that movie and I felt like referencing it. Continue to dislike, I don't care about that.

Jeff on the Comedy Button would be great because it'd probably be an hour's worth of Jeff telling some pretty crazy stories about his roommate and his "living on the fringe" days.

This summarizes my feelings about every interaction that Patrick has with the other members of the GB site. It feels like he is constantly trying really hard to fit in.

i don't get the patrick hate, sure he's new and he'll never be as popular as core members of giantbomb like Kessler, but he's enthusiastic and playing games other members of the gang wouldn't touch like moho and etrianO
