I think, but could be wrong that Brad is in charge of dealing with the PR to get access to preview code which I imagine could take up a ton of time.

Brad is still the worst member, because hes super bad at games especially Starcraft and other stuff.

This week's podcast made me wonder why the fuck so many people dislike Patrick.

-He loves survival horror, unlike any of the other four regulars.
-He and Vinny are the only two guys that really gave Dark Souls the time of day. Brad kind of did, but Vinny and Tricky both actively argued for it during the 2011 GOTY Deliberations, and it made it to like within a few titles of being in the top 10.
-He's actually trying and enjoying Monster Hunter, and leading the Giant Bomb charge to do so (Vinny made it sound like he wouldn't have given a shit unless Patrick was getting into it)
-He played 999 and VLR, and to my knowledge, is the only GBer that did so.

Why do you whiny babies hate him, again? If not for Tricky, any one of these things would never have been mentioned on the Bombcast, or if they were mentioned, they'd be mentioned with a clear air of "lol Japan, right guys?" attitude that Jeff and Ryan tend to have towards these sorts of games. He's honestly probably got the widest pallet of genre tastes of anyone on the site. I'll take him over Alex any fucking day of the week. Tricky 4eva.

Well, he does talk a little too much and gets excitable about stuff and ends up talking over people sometimes. But he's trying to change!

I dunno, I've never actually noticed him over talking over that much. Jeff and Ryan do it all the time, but I guess that when they did it they were #crackinwise.

The main thing that annoyed me about him at first was his voice, but realised that it was mostly irrational.

I like him because of his open mindedness towards everything and his Worth Reading articles but:

This. When he's enthused about something he ends up trying to be the conversation instead of having one. Sometimes he just cuts people off mid sentence. Dude just needs to chill out and move with the flow of the conversation. Sometimes it really throws the Bombcast off.

Overall I've grown to like him though. Some people really over react about him.
 
If playing games that people like is all that is required, then yes Patrick should be a winner across all demographics. Unfortunately that's not the case now is it?

I don't completely understand the dislike of him either. I see comments here, on GB and YouTube comment sections. There are moments when I find him grating but that happens with everybody including Vinny. Yes. There are moments when I find Vinny grating.

Also glad to know that Gary Whitta smugness went way back as well!
