New Durango devkit Pic?

Power generations won't last much longer. Newer experiences and innovations will change the landscape in the coming years. Maybe not this one, or maybe this one. We simply have no clue what MS is really doing. Just because we know specs, doesn't mean we know what they plan to do with them.
All I'm saying is, with no power advantage, Microsoft has to find another route to make their console appealing. Especially when it comes to multiplats where power is the easiest factor to spot (and if developers can't be arsed to use Kinect, that's all that will be left to compare).

If they can find the new experiences and it's worthwhile, good. If they don't, it's going to be the inferior "me too".

Because the thread title can answered with yes afaik.

Edit: before someone asks, I know a dev here in Europe - he used to work in a club where I'm currently a resident DJ and I met him at the last Christmas party there. Since then, I'm in contact with him.

Do you have any info on DJ Hero reboot?

Are you saying its a pic of durango dev kit? Sorry I don't understand your reply.

Guys, that's not a dev kit - it's a wine cooler.

Never Forget!

Funnily enough it looks like the dimensions may be close to the shoebox PS4 numbers that someone tricked Thuway with.

I thought it more likely this one. Do you remember what is the dimensions?
Are you referring to thuway's (wrong) numbers or the actual dimension of the PS4 devkit?

thuway's (wrong) dimension;

I haven't seen PS4 people. -_-

This is the last major leak from me, and honestly, it's all I know:

25 x 14 x 10
external psu

Figure the dimensions out yourself and get to drawing :).
Another one, this time I just shrunk the phat PS3;

And then later on;

EDIT: TURNED OUT TO BE FALSE

thuway's ban is over so he can probably give us some new (hopefully) reliable info.

Could be a new kit with more recent hardware, considering the rumors that final production on the hardware for Durang is going on.

Could this be Durango GPU.
I saw this on B3D

Physical-Specifications-Release-Date-Confirmed.html

All said and done, the HD 7790 belts out 1.79 TFLOPs of floating-point performance. The source goes on to mention in its text that the card features a 128-bit wide memory interface, memory clock speed of 6.00 GHz (96 GB/s), a TDP of 85W, and a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. It is expected to launch no later than tomorrow (22/03).

I'm hopeful but there's no evidence currently.

It's a small part though, and kinda brings home that even the "mighty" PS4 is pretty low end in the GPU area. This does 1.79 teraflops. The math is 14 CU's, but clocked 25% higher.

If MS DIDNT choose something like this for Durango, they are so dumb. It probably literally costs like $5-10 more.

One interesting fact is we know Cape Verde does 1/prim/clock. Durango GPU=2. Bonaire 7790=2.

So at least in that way it's more related to Durango GPU than Cape Verde.

It just seems like a made for console part all around to me at 85 watts. Heck it seems a better fit than what Sony chose for PS4.

Publishers and developers did say they were pretty close in performance.
1.84 vs 1.79 is pretty close if you ask me.

Clock is too high... too much power/heat

I have a feeling that the clock speeds are going to be a bit higher than the rumors, at least for Durango possibly even PS4 as well. It's an easy change and as long as the TDP is kept in check it won't be an issue. 1GHz seems too much though.

Microsoft wants to beat the record RROD? They'll be conservative with their performance this time around, their hardware was terribly engineered, that's an understatement.

By that logic every console maker needs to make convervativ boxes. Hardware changed a lot since 2005.
