Capcom announcing two new games at PAX East

As much as I truly don't believe anything Capcom, Sven or Ono say.... I still enjoy Ono and his antics minus when he empty hypes up announcements. He is a fun gaming personality and he's seems like a nice dude who seems too care about his profession. Plus he is more hands on with community fun and endeavors.

Have people considered that Strider is the FGC shoutout?

1) MvC3 releases.
2) People complain for Strider.
3) Capcom includes Strider in UMvC3.
4) Someone convinces Capcom heads to make a Strider game.
5) FGC is effectively responsible for reviving Strider due to pleas for him in Marvel.

I think D&D + Strider should be everyone's expectations.
 
Obviously, finally, Strider.

I know I've been posting this shit in EVERY 'capcom to announce new game' thread in the past 10+ years, but this time it's coming, we've all seen the tiny logo+artwork and heard the rumours.

Now let's just hope it's good

lol well, his anniversary will be coming to a close if they don't announce something soon. Although SF25th Anniversary collection did come out at the end of it's anniversary.

That's quite a bit of a stretch. Especially considering how hands off Ono is when it comes to Marvel stuff, I don't think he'd understand the excitement behind Strider.

Ono could just be referring to something like the Capcom SF poll results and how the top characters will be in SFV or something, but the magnitude of his tease seems a bit... More. More than just another rerelease too.

Early expectations are best.

We are probably just be getting trailers for the leaked stuff

It is Ono. "FCG nod = Strider" makes perfect sense considering his troll teases
 
My own bets: beside the Dungeons and Dragons announcement, the other game will indeed be Strider XBLA. Hopefully SFV poll results are announced. I don't think Ono will give us something...substantial. I half expect another Darkstalkers are not Dead mention.

Wait wait wait, what about CvS2? Shouldn't Capcom also be announcing that -officially-? Maybe that's where Ono comes in.

CvS2 port is coming to PSN by the end of April.

If your thinking remake or an enhanced port like Iron Galaxy is doing, then it's not going to be so soon. They only recently found out Capcom got the rights to CvS back.
 
I mentioned this in the PAX East thread, and Duckroll has my account ready to be banned, but over at their booth, they have a video loop playing in the back, with a trailer for a Ducktales game. Not sure of platform or anything, but i would assume details to follow at their panel at noon, which i'm in line for now! Get hype GAF.

...I'm just gonna leave that as them releasing the NES Ducktales games to the 3DS eShop for now.
Will keep my hype and expectations for D&D and Strider @3@.

I was just setting my expectations low, but to be honest, them releasing the NES Duck tales games to at least the 3DS eShop would be a nice move.
...but a new game? That'd be mindblowing and unexpected, but as is I'm keeping my hype and expectations in check XP

The only 'unexpected' thing I hope that does happen though is Ono making a surprise entry and showing off his latest cosplay.
He'll prob. SAY they're working on something and provide no visual content, but hey, how can you not love this adorable little guy-

Im in line for the panel, i didn't want to miss other announcements. Also, the backgrounds seemed set up for the 3D effect. So the layout of the game. Like the look of Kid Icarus Classics

So, resolution or small screen in the video (if you don't understand what I'm trying to say, think at...all 3DS trailers, especially Kingdom Hearts) and a background made for 3D?

IF it's really for 3DS, this makes me think Capcom could start a 3D Classics lineup like Nintendo and Sega.
 
Releasing it just on 3DS seems like a waste of licensing money if there's any additional work being done, and it's not just a ROM dump.
 
I will die if it's the Phoenix Wright collection they mentioned previously. But it won't be because of the 'new'.

And we all know Capcom has no love for Megaman so I stopped hoping a long time ago.

No. The way the background and the foreground objects were staged in the trailer, it made it seem like it was being made with 3D in mind

They did a good move by having all of SSF4's updates be digital so they can follow that suite with SFV, and release a 'GotY' like disc release that has all the latest updates down the road for those that want it in disc form.
 
I imagine anything new (not related to the original game) that is Ducktales related would be published by Disney themselves.

Not really, the 3D Classics line all sold really well. The platformers especially.

Though Capcom's been doing pretty well on 3DS VC too going by the rankings, better than pretty much every other 3rd party.

But Ducktales wasn't an arcade game.

If they're going to negotiate a new license with Disney and actually do some work on the game I see no reason to release it on one platform.
