343 took Halo from a great series with a solid identity to an average game that does few things right. I'm way too bitter to call it a good game, hah.
So it's a bad game? Could have fooled me. Seems more along the lines of it isn't up to Bungie standards, and the 343 changes were a bit much for some Halo fans. Not the game is "terrible" in any kind of game review sense.
But sure, people can rag on me for thinking the game isn't a broken piece of shit if they want. I'm just not over dramatic. It's not everything I wanted, but it's far from a terrible game. Aliens Colonial Marines is a terrible game.
Perhaps that is because it is a valid argument, not everything will be catered to your specific tastes, doesn't mean it is bad.
The game was better than Reach on all fronts, but I'd like more pen campaign environments and MP more like the original trilogy.
I played about 3000 matches in every Halo prior to 4.
With Halo 4 I played only 500 or so and called it a day because of so many frustrations.
The multiplayer just isn't up to snuff.

If you want to go that far Bungie did it. 343 just continued the trend.
I feel it is a terrible Halo game. Everything functions fine and it works, but as a Halo game I truly think it is terrible. Your opinion is that it isn't, ours is that it is. What is the point of arguing what is completely subjective? So it's a bad game? Could have fooled me. Apparently it's come to the fact that anyone that likes or defends Halo 4 is a rabid fanboy and the folks who hate on it are obviously right. That's dumb.

This is true, I don't think anyone forgets Armor Lock or Jetpack but I also think they never wanted to see anything close to those ever again.
That's true. 343 had an opportunity to reverse the mistakes of Reach, but instead just multiplied them and introduced a whole array of new ones.If you want to go that far Bungie did it. 343 just continued the trend.
I'll take Boltshots to the face for eternity instead of enduring a staring showdown with someone using Armor Lock once.
I basically did that with the other Halo's but not with Halo 4.
I've put in about 5-6 days of hours into Halo 4, had to take a break from it.
Oh hey they did admit they messed up with the Didact/terminals!
Any apology for the final battle being a terrible, out-of-nowhere QTE yet?
Didact was just a really lame villain.
He had none of the depth of complexity of someone like The Prophet of Truth or Gravemind and his character is woefully underdeveloped. In the end, he comes off as one of those generic mustache twirling villains whose motivations are vague at best.
I did really like the exposition between Chief and Cortana though, there were some genuinely touching moments and 343 tackled the whole Rampancy issue much better than Bungie ever did.
Aside from that, the campaign was solid, if not lacking in a few epic moments. (Scarab/Hornet battle anyone)?
The multiplayer is really where I draw issue with the game, and my problems with it are too many to list.
I hope they explain why the game is so terrible.

Exactly, we went from complex believable villians that kill without thought when they had the chance to a villian that is basically a bad Bond villian. All he does is stand there and talk instead of acting. He could have literally killed Chief at any time in the campaign by making a fist, but instead he kept sending useless Prometheans that Chief had no problem taking down because reasons.Didact was just a really lame villain.

Hmmm, he's actually acknowledging some of the things they did wrong.
ugh why did you have to remind me about this. so disappointed with it
It was the punctuation at the end of a deeply flawed, structurally unsound sentence. That last kick in the face hit like a bullet to the head.
what a piece of shit that wasAny apology for the final battle being a terrible, out-of-nowhere QTE yet?
I also find it funny that it is the 3 design instead of their redesign that still baffles me.Ironic how it's a Spartan completely gimped.

More accessible? WHAT? Halo has always been an extremely accessible game.
