New Pokemon X and Y info cometh next weekend!

I don't know. People getting annoyed over change i.e. sprite babies?

Ice puzzles and strength puzzles are the only things that really require grid movement (although I think ice puzzles could work in 3D without feeling too awkward). Everything else is easily transitionable. And the 3DS has this circle pad thing. It would make sense.

Yup, talking about things that use steps to keep track of stuff. I guess you could be right.

Colliseum's way was pretty shit.

Ah, so you mean like the friendship/egg stuff. I couldn't imagine that'd be very hard to reprogram.

I'm a 90's Pokémon fan and Tamers is my fourth-favourite anime.

Even if you don't like it ;P
I just did. Also I know about monster rancher. :P

I was talking about how said fans know the difference between monsters :P

I mean, Digimon has Agumon, and it lacks the Digimon stereotypes. Same with Scyther, which lacks the Pokemon stereotypes.

*still dreaming a Digimon Xros Wars-style Pokemon where Pokemon become combining mecha*

If I understand you, I think it already happened. There is a manga based on that. I think it called Pokemon Fusion.

My 10 year old self won't miss ice puzzles or strength puzzles one bit.

Archaic mess like box pushing in Resident Evil.

Those same puzzles are used in Zelda games and Link hasn't been restricted to a grid since the NES. So it's not even required for those.

Oh please, Snorlax was coincidence because it was the typical "big monster" look with fandom doing their fan stuff. Garbodor is backed up by OFFICIAL stuff.
I love both Snorlax and Garbodor, so it's difficult to choose between the two. Garbodor definitely bears more of a resemblance to Totoro though, that's for sure. HEY GUYS LET'S ALL LIST OUR FAVORITES AGAIN BEFORE THE NEWS BREAKS!

1. Jynx
2. Slaking
3. Ludicolo
4. Snorlax
5. Golbat
6. Quagsire
7. Garbodor
8. Exeggutor
9. Swoobat
10. OH GOD THERE ARE TOO MANY I LIKE!

Froakie is cool so far, so a good looking evolution could find its way onto my list.

On a related note how are 90's pokemon fans know about digimon?
In Canada, Digimon only aired one year after Pokemon.

And that's assuming humans aren't Pokemon themselves.
"Sinnoh Folk Story 2"
There lived a Pokémon in a forest.
In the forest, the Pokémon shed its
hide to sleep as a human.
Awakened, the human dons the
Pokémon hide to roam villages.
"Sinnoh Folk Story 3"
There once were Pokémon that
became very close to humans.
There once were humans and Pokémon
that ate together at the same table.
It was a time when there existed no
differences to distinguish the two.

It's not like 3D is this new fangled technology we don't know what to do with yet either. :P I'd like the series to take the plunge with stride.

as long as you don't like the 4th season, everyone hates that season.

Damn straight, the first three were godly, then everything got fucked in Frontier...

Changing the theme song was a sin among sins. X(

Fusion doesn't seem like it's going to bring it back either. We can only hope though. :(

I didn't mention anything about puzzles. :p

They aren't really the same, but they are definitely replaceable. The ones in 3D Zelda's involve you moving something (which can only move in 4 directions naturally). The ones in 2D Zelda's usually involve moving yourself in 4 directions.

yeah... yeah
In the 2nd,3rd,5th, and 6th seasons, everyone was pretty much equal, aside from a few instances. In 4 along with deciding that people would be the digimon( which i didnt have an issue with at first, but all the forms look like ass) they made light and fire super DUPER STRONG. Making everyone after light and fire got their 3rd forms effectively useless, similar to season one, ( didn't like it there either). Especially when the dark guy aka " the most interesting character in the show" becomes good, even though he is LITERALLY the light guys twin, he cannot power up as much as he can for literally determinable reason NO REASON.

Also fun fact about digimans, later in the season when the bigger badder mons come, most of the times, those are the final forms of digimon from previous seasons.

but yes back to pokemon

6:30pm EST if my math is right. It airs at 6:30am Sunday here, and EST is reversed time here so there.

Serebii - 2
Bulbagarden - 0

Seriously though, I look forward to some news and will probably check this thread as it happens.

I can't determine a list of Pokemon that I like, but I do know Haxorus, Bisharp, Charizard, Lucario, Tyrannitar, and Salamence would be on the list.

I think I have a relatively high tolerance for bad opinions.

But Golbat > Crobat?

No... just no. Get out.

Yup, Crobat4lyfe. One of the best Gen 2 Pokemon along with Tyrannitar.

I like Crobat, but why they didn't stick with the Zubat colour scheme I do not know. It kinda annoys me.

Not as much as Rhyperior annoys me, though.

Off-Topic: Yes, Season 4 really was that bad. Season 5 had Gaomon which made it 100x better than Season 4 by default.

So 6:22 my time for any announcements.

...Well at least that gives me time to do homework before any possible hype distractions.

Not as much as Rhyperior annoys me, though.

Maybe to make it more indicative that it is a poison type? That is my take on it.

Yup, I don't like Rhyperior or Magmortar. I hope they make some good evos for some non-evolving Pokemon if they are going to do that sort of thing.

Magmortar has grown on me. It's not like Magmar wasn't already stupid looking.

Electivire was fucking awesome. I love that line, it's one of the few lines where each Pokemon is awesome for separate reasons.

Yea, that's true. Magmar does look stupid, IMO.

Dusknoir and Electivire looks good to me. I just don't like Rhyperior.

Electivire is the best definitely.

Just because it has an in-universe justification doesn't mean I have to like it. It doesn't fit.

Oh I'm not saying you shouldn't like it or anything. It's just that people tend to forget that fact since most of their "hate" comes from "where did he get that?!"

In any case most of the Pokemon evolutions from old mons in Gen IV are good save for Magmortar, and even then Magmar is pretty ugly to begin with.
