Excerpts:

IGN said:
Given the success NetherRealm had with Mortal Kombat, it would have been easy to clone it and swap in new characters... and yet it didn't. Instead, it kept what worked and built upon it to make Injustice: Gods Among Us an exciting, unique-feeling fighter at the beginner level, and a deeper, more interesting one at the advanced level. Story mode is a pleasant surprise, but the real reason to play is the thrill of harnessing the god-like powers of some of the most overwhelming figures in the comic realm. The jury’s still out on whether or not it presents a fair fight, but it’s definitely an enjoyable one.

OXM said:
Injustice is fast, destructive, and extremely accessible without sacrificing its hardcore edge, and its slick visuals and nonstop craziness put it in a class by itself. This fighter is DC and NetherRealm at their finest, and while certain aspects (like Super Moves) wear thin, there’s enough great content here to keep fans busy for months.

GamesRadar said:
All-in-all, Injustice is a licensed fighting game done right, sure to please fans of the brand and the genre. Its accessibility lets casual gamers or avid comic readers enjoy themselves, while retaining all the depth that fighter enthusiasts crave. If you've ever wanted to witness Batman and Superman duke it out in a brutal showdown, there's no better time than now.

CVG said:
Injustice: Gods Among Us isn't a game that's built to last. Short-term exhilaration turns to long-term ennui once the giddiness of its morality-bending world wears off, and for us that make the experience one to pick up in the sales - unless you're utterly Bat-mad. All the same, while it lasts, this is crackingly overblown entertainment.

When all is said and done, Injustice: Gods Among Us isn’t just another fighting game. It’s the ultimate in fan service and an unmistakable labor of love. This is the kind of game DC fans have been dreaming of seeing their heroes in for a long time. On top of the stellar gameplay and cornucopia of modes, there’s a treasure trove full of unlockables, amazing graphics, and superb audio, with a voice cast pulled from the annals of DC Animation’s greats—even if not all of them are in their traditional roles (i.e., Phil LaMarr as Aquaman). And the only knocks against this entire experience are minor. The load times are obnoxiously long and frequent between each battle, but even that can be forgiven when you see what you can do in the levels and how smooth every single fight is once it starts. A few character move sets have shades of Mortal Kombat leak through like Batman/Scorpion, Raven/Ermac, and Killer Frost/Sub-Zero, but everyone else seems truly and wholly original. And I wish the mirror match clones were more easily discernible as they look exactly the same as you do. I’m really nitpicking there, though. I can’t stress enough how polished this game is in nearly every facet. This is a satisfying, must-have gaming experience on every level.

Great reviews. Do any of the reviews say if all platforms have the same level of performance? I really enjoyed the demo so they'll get a buy from me.

I think most of the reviews mentioned they reviewed the 360 version, so I'm not sure how many tested other versions.

One of the game testers just recently posted on another forum that the PS3 version has longer load times and the graphics are not as good.

He tested the game on 360 and just played the PS3 version recently.

This was a major concern in the demo version. Don't like that they didn't give the characters alternate colors.

Every review that starts off talking about how much they like the story is dumb.

Really only wanted to play the story mode but I didn't want to spend $60 just for that. So I went to youtube and watched the story mode in its entirety.

I think there's kind of a different expectation of what a "good story" is going into a Netherrealm game where people are looking for something more along the lines of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon than Fallout: New Vegas.

Kind of want to check it out to see if the story mode is as cool as that one mortal kombat game. Animation looks great. I'll get it from gamefly at some point probably.

I did the tutorial and am on Chapter 3 of the story mode. Enjoying it although I wish they were a little more explicit about scene changes.

I posted my reviews a couple days ago but they stand up the same here.
Super excited people like the game.

Walkthroughs are on my site if people aren't interested in getting the game. But you should!

Anyway my thoughts on the 360 version after about 15 hours.

Redband review

I played through the story mode 2 times before deciding on what I thought.

Any mention of Wii U?

loads faster than most games on wii u. Plays nicely, except it's a bit uncomfortable on the game pad. Still a Bang up job by Netherrealm. I think it runs better than the ps3 version(played the demo on ps3.)

Don't be afraid to pick it up, haven't touched multiplayer yet though.

For the record on Wii U:

I got the game on PS3 and my friend picked it up on Wii U. His version seems to run a bit better than mine/load faster. It still is fine on PS3 though. So yeah...Wii U version seems to be fine. Don't know why they have been so odd with talking about it or showing it.

From Gamereactor Sweden's review since it's the lowest right now,

+ Good single player
+ Tons of fanservice
+ Well-functioning online

- Awkward controls
- Too many gimmicks
- Mediocre graphics

Injustice: Gods Among Us is far from a bad game, but it's a pretty mediocre one that unfortunately lacks the charm that Mortal Kombat provides. In the end all the gimmicks and bonus content in the world is not able to salvage a gameplay system that isn't really up to par.

If anything, it puts up red flags around that version of that game that really shouldn't be there if there's actually nothing wrong with it.

My guess is that Nintendo didn't want to help with advertising costs or something. That's why most companies are refusing to advertise the WiiU version. Just a guess- I could be completely off base. Otherwise, there's no point in not advertising a version that you're already releasing.

Metro.co.uk GameCentral 7/10

In Short: A perfect fighting game for beginners and one of the best uses of the DC universe so far in games, even if it still only feels like the tip of the iceberg in terms of unrealised potential.

Pros: Excellent tutorial and training system and elegantly simplified control system that’s fun for both newbies and experts. Some hilarious arena transitions and super moves.

Cons: The combat is nowhere near as technical or nuanced as other 2D fighters. Some characters are much more interesting to play as than others. Weak cut scene graphics.

So far all the impressions I have seen about the WiiU version have been very positive, it really is weird they have never shown it or talked about it ever.

Do we know if they did it in house?

Yup I heard they were just focusing on marketing the PS3/360 versions, the lack of WiiU info had nothing to do with it been bad quality game.

Great reviews, I should have the WiiU version today or tomorrow

From what I've seen, it's in-house. No other game studio logos added.

Is this a thing? I didn't realize that platform creators were expected to have such a hand in marketing third party games. I know that they sometimes throw money around to get an exclusive or to get "their" version a little more exposure, but I guess I didn't think it went that far.

I have no idea. I was just throwing that out there. It just seems hard to believe that a good port of a game gets zero exposure. What's even the point of releasing it then? Just seems guaranteed to lose money with no advertisement. I've talked to several people who had no idea it was coming out on WiiU.

I just watched the IGN video review and was surprised to hear them specifically praise the game for its balance and lack of overpowered characters. The written review states the exact opposite. Seems sloppy.

-Is this 60fps? MK9 looked ridiculous good and ran at 60fps so I'm hoping this is the same.

-Anything about 360 vs. PS3 differences?

Is there a Vita version? I'll wait and buy the console version if not. I don't know why I've not kept up with this game.

boon said on twitter that a vita version is possible if the console versions are successful, so if it comes i suspect it will atleast be a 2014 release. have to see how the console versions do first though.

Wii U version just arrived in mail

edit: check the OT for some discussion on the Wii U version; so far I agree with the sharpness/crispness (at least over the ps3 and XBL demos), i have not tried out the wii remote/classic controller compatibility but no reason to believe not even though back of box says no

regarding dlc; in a nintendo direct it was stated to expect dlc from this title, plus on the back of the box it mentions there will be downloadable content. I don't know what the deal is specifically

for PS3/360/WiiU owners, I recommend picking up the Wii U version. it seems to be the smoothest of the bunch, and its got relatively quick loading times.

disclaimer: i have only played the full Wii U game, and demos of 360/ps3 versions. I have not compared to final release PS3/360 versions.

I am so proud of how well NRS made this game... I may dislike the character models, but after that, there is nothing I don't like about this game... It's so nice in presentation, the menu's are gorgeous, music is awesome. IT's really hard to dislike this game unless your just trolling... And the thing is, I never liked Mortal Kombat games till Injustice.
