Have a feeling Sony are going to drop bombs this E3

I reckon on the Playstation Meeting they were holding back and saving their big bombs for E3.

I expect crazy announcements. I'm talking:

Final Fantasy XV PS4 exclusive

Return of Last Guardian in all its glory for PS4

New Santa Monica IP that will blow your mind and be a graphical showcase

LittleBigUniverse, full 3D game where you can make 3D platformers, racers and shooters using Move to create assets shows in the tech demo.

Perhaps they will even hold back Uncharted 4 and Ready at Dawn IP due to so much bombs being dropped at E3.

Everyone will drop bombs (well, I hope for Nintendo it will be the case), it's the most important E3 in almost a decade.

Good for you.

Personally I feel E3 this year will be good all round. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have plenty of things they can show off.

Lets not overhype one side from there though.

Sure, all of those would be very nice. Why not

edit: well except final fantasy and the last guardian because i don't really give a shit about exclusives and there is just no way the last guardian isn't going to be a terrible disaster

I'm looking forward to the new Betrayaltons.

What was last year's E3 betrayalton?

What about online required, no used games etc? Where are we with that, I haven't been keeping on top of things, I've just seen rumors rumors rumors. Anything concrete?

At least two of the things you posted are very likely to happen.

FF Versus being renamed and moved to PS4 is rumored so there's the FFXV exclusive.
Last Guardian showing up would be nice too, Sony has pretty much admitted that they will say something about it.

I don't consider either of those bombs though, more like broken promises with respect to PS3.

Everyone will have to drop bombs this e3 .....

They are going to carpetbomb fucking bunker busters.

Can't wait man, it's going to be awesome.

This is kind of on the topic of Nintendo, but does anyone else think it would have been better not to tell us that they were showing things at E3, and let us be surprised by what franchises they show?

I also think there will be huge stuff shown by E3, all of them need to impress.

Honestly I don't expect much from MS. Perhaps one good AAA first party game. A sequel racer. And a Betrayalaton. But I expect
The rest to be Kinect garbage, media features and etc.

Biggest bomb of E3:

Final Fantasy Versus XIII being renamed to Final Fantasy XV and being released exclusively on PS4 in 2014.

Even if everyone is predicting it and expecting it, if Square Enix goes through with it it will still blow everyone's minds. Everyone will still get excited and everyone will go crazy on NeoGAF.

I mean just imagine it. Really imagine it. Trust me people will still be surprised and excited when they do this ;).

I also predict a "oh and one more thing" moment from each Square Enix and Sony.

Yup. I still expect them to have one or two surprises but now that I know what they are have I look forward more to trying out some of the games at the booth rather then going to the press conference.

I hope not. Although I've bought most of my games on PS3/PC this gen, I still buy all consoles that come out in order to get some awesome exclusives from all of them.
So I want MS to bring their A game, same with Nintendo.

I think its fair to say this E3 will be very eventful for all three of them. I want to see what Sony is hiding to hype me up even more for the PS4. Biggest mystery for me though is the price for the system!

I still think it's better to keep your expectations low.

There's no way half of your list is coming true and you know it ;P

Are you really gonna fall for that one again?

I'm hoping to see some new hardware at E3 in addition to the PS4 itself. More specifically the new HMD for 2013 to replace the HMZ-T2. Hopefully it'll be something like the Oculus Rift.

Also hoping they'll finally expand upon the Vita and release Vita phones and tablets. Get an entire ecosystem going there!

New IP, new IP, new IP, that's what I want. Not interested in yet another Final Fantasy, LittleBigWhatever does nothing for me, and Uncharted needs a break

I think Nintendo will be dropping the bombs, because they have to. For Sony, they can scatter their news to keep the hype going, while Nintendo need a big flashpoint to resurrect the WiiU.

(I say resurrect, it was never really alive, was it?)

New IP, new IP, new IP, that's what I want. Not interested in yet another Final Fantasy, and Uncharted needs a break

Ready at Dawn, Guerilla Games and Santa Monica are all making new IPs, perhaps MediaMolecule as well. But I expect Santa Monica to show theirs in E3 and the rest will be saves for other events.

You say that, yet Final Fantasy always changes gameplay, world, characters, battle system, art style and even the type of fantasy it is with every main numbered title. It's basically a new IP with every mainline entry. So saying you want a new IP doesn't mean a whole lot. I think what you're saying is you want some innovation within a specific genre that new IP's usually bring.

E3 was boring last year. Everyone was expecting the new consoles then and nothing. I think the biggest thing could be FFvsXIII (XV) being re-revealed and exclusive to the PS4.

Biggest overall megaton of last year's E3 was probably Watch_Dogs. Other than that it was boring as hell.

I'm just as excited for the Ready at Dawn project as the next Naughty Dog/SSM game. Did they ever hint at what kind of game they're making? Genre?

They'll rely on big names, even if they're far from a real release.

Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted, etc. etc. - They might just show a bunch of logos or early tech tests and fans will go bananas, thinking that these games are coming 'soon'.

Throw The Last Guardian in, too.

Won't that mean that a lot of people who are attending E3 won't go to their presser due to already know what's there then?
In trying to prove to people that they have stuff in the pipeline they may have shot themselves in the foot.
