Have a feeling Sony are going to drop bombs this E3

I almost expect Final Fantasy Versus/15 to be exclusive, because Square wont bother porting it to the Wii U as they always push technology with that series and i do not think Microsoft even cares all that much about the series anymore.

Obviously i am just speculating/guessing as i have no real info, and if this does happen i wonder how "big" this megaton would really be, considering the apathy towards the series and Square in general

Who knows, depends on how good the game is and how it does both in sales and with critics.

I expect them to reveal way too much stuff before E3 like previous years.. for some weird reasons

They'll definitely do that and I think they're smart for doing so. Aren't they having another Playstation meeting in May? It doesn't make sense to blow your load at one event because the competitor might completely overshadow you with ONE announcement. All of the hard work and good will could be completely overshadowed. They need to let their announcements breathe.

Why not include Nintendo in that list if you're going to make a blanket statement like that?

I would argue that last years E3 had a lot of people on the edge of their sets. Everyone in the audience loved Beyond, God of War and The Last of Us demos at last years E3.

It's pretty obvious that Nintendo's last good E3 was in 2010, with the 3DS reveal which was a huge success. If you want to talk about an E3 from Sony or Microsoft which made people stood up and talk non-stop about them I'll struggle to think of one. So I am not sure why either Sony or Microsoft would drop bombs at E3 when they never had a history of dropping bombs at E3.

Well, what about FF7 remake exclusive for PS4.
Imagine that...and at the same time, imagine the reactions here on NeoGAF.

Honestly I don't expect much from MS. Perhaps one good AAA first party game. A sequel racer. And a Betrayalaton. But I expect
The rest to be Kinect garbage, media features and etc.

Unfortunately, as much as I wish it were otherwise, I think this is likely given their recent direction.

People sad that about Nintendo for the last 2 years, and we know how that turned out. But Sony's not Nintendo I guess, so here's hoping they actually deliver.

The Final Fantasy announcement should be significant at least.

i think ms bombs wll be bigger. they are done with 360 development, they have epic and crytek, they probably have a deal with ea, and they have a lot of $$$$

sony on the other hand is working on multiple ps3 projects, has to look after vita and has already blown the lid of ps4

I have a feeling Microsoft will end up being the weakest link this year. They are gonna start talking about all these features nobody cares about where as Nintendo/Sony is going to focus on games.

Just wait and see.

I think there will be a lot of bombs dropped by all 3 platform holders before E3 starts. That 3 week period will also be full of announcements by 3rd parties who will want to get some clear marketing air before E3 madness.

They need to make apps available to silver members for a start but of course they won't. Seeing Playstation as the most used Netflix system could of been a reminder but they will stick Gold only regardless

I just hope they don't forget the PSVita..

I reckon on the Playstation Meeting they were holding back and saving their big bombs for E3.

I expect crazy announcements. I'm talking:

Final Fantasy XV PS4 exclusive

Return of Last Guardian in all its glory for PS4

New Santa Monica IP that will blow your mind and be a graphical showcase

LittleBigUniverse, full 3D game where you can make 3D platformers, racers and shooters using Move to create assets shows in the tech demo.

Perhaps they will even hold back Uncharted 4 and Ready at Dawn IP due to so much bombs being dropped at E3.

Good for you.

Personally I feel E3 this year will be good all round. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have plenty of things they can show off.

Lets not overhype one side from there though.

Imagine the fallout if Square-Enix came out and said "We are bringing Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII exclusively to the PS4! Please be excited!"

I want this to happen purely for the GAF reactions...

Remember when Ueda said, pre-PS4 reveal, that there'd be news on TLG 'soon'? And there wasn't? Which isn't the first time he's pulled that bullshit either.

If he or Sony tell us TLG's going to be at E3 I'm going to write that off as a lie too.

For this board I'm sure they will win e3 by just talking about their ram solution. For most North American consumers I feel Microsoft has the most opportunity to impress. I don't feel final fantasy is a mover in North American anymore like it was in the ps1 ps2 days.
