Huh. Wasn't very impressed by this one. That's not to say it was poorly done or anything, but I feel like it's already starting to get played out, hah. Am I in trouble? Like the whole
"Our leg got damaged critically we can't move on— Oh, hey, check it out! being manly fixed it or something. Again."
That might even be a bit harsh. It's not like I ever got bored or offended by the direction, but if it keeps going forward in that it doesn't really move forward, i'll be a bit disappointed. There's a lot of potential laid forth and I hope they come to utilize it story-wise and not just aesthetic wise.

Again, though, this is just one episode where things just felt a bit status quo. Moving on!

Regarding how this episode handled itself thematically, I thought it was damn near perfect.
We have the Team going to fight the bad guys, but before they do, Simon feels a bit mixed up about the whole thing due to blossoming feelings about Yoko. The worst case scenario that I so desperately hoped that they would not do (and didn't do) was having Simon screw everything up just because of a little bit of love sickness. That would have pained me to no end. Oppositely, they used this as a tool to lift up and show the redeeming aspect of Kamina which in turn would make his death that much sadder. It was honestly a bit heartbreaking. I could feel it coming (I even vaguely mentioned such in an earlier impression), but when it actually did happen, I wasn't exactly ready. Very tastefully done.

And, of course the cherry on top, this episode looked fabulous. The character animations were sharper, the fights had a bit of follow-able choreography to them; it was an episode that needed to look great and it did.

Cardfight!! Vanguard Asia Circuit 93 (eng dub)

Another girl power episode to close this Ultra Rare match out. It was, as usual, pretty enjoyable and intense. Sure it pushed the super cute levels way too much (dub va makes it sound even more girly cutsey than it needs to be), but still the prize was worth it and I got to see my favorite Iron Heart Mestema! Female characters fights are often good and enjoyable in this as their personalities clashing and what not. And for Kamui, epic fight.

Huh, it was only a week ago, but I had forgotten just how early TTGL hits that shift. I've still to conclude the remaining episodes, though I will say that the pacing is consistently great. Usually I have to be in a certain moods to watch most things, but it manages to bypass that filter.

This is probably my favorite episode of the show so far. A nice change of pace after the previous episode's disaster (imo) and some nice characterization going on between the cast. I wouldn't mind if the rest of the series was like this really.
 
Mature, personal request, but could you like, use proper aspect ratio for your screenshots? It's really... distracting looking at a bunch squished screens. :(

We have Araragi in a basement for a bit, and then looking around for fun things to do.

So far it's like a lets meet back up with the old bozos for a bit. But hey, the sisters are getting more screentime.

I can at least count on Hachikuji to ensure us that an episode will have moments of creepiness, although I assume he's this way because

.

What a way to start out on Nisemonogatari.

It starts with a lot of promise. Then it quickly turns into the most boring anime of all time. Whatever you are thinking is promising right now, you can be sure it never happens. They don't explore it, no questions are answered, you learn nothing, no characters become interesting and you never get to see the MC naked.

Bail out whilst you still can.

If only more adaptations followed the Polar Bear's Cafe way of almost completely disregarding the manga by picking and choosing the best things from it and just going crazy with it.

Given that the anime people can't/won't write original material to fill in the gaps, probably the only way to make the show palatable now would be to just reduce each season to 12 episodes and have them do a season every 18-24 months to let the manga catch up. Of course, if the point of the anime is to sell the manga, it doesn't really matter all that much either way.

I had no idea that the Polar Bear Cafe adaptation just picked random parts though. It makes sense since, other than trying to keep a basic chronology, there's no real continuity to worry about between the half episodes that they do.

Nice episode , even if it went in someplace i wasn't expecting them to.
It seems that they didn't retcon totally the previous season regarding on specialist journalist now transformed in cupidon ( or so she thinks )

We also see what an extrement addiction to monster hunter can do to people , even housewives. and the monster themselves aren't "safe" from exposure , leading to some stupid moment.

Anyway , the episode was good and it seems that next week , we'll get some delicious new character and kuko develloppement.

All is right there :)

Still like the show. The continued culture clash + daily life on Gargantia developments make this damn interesting. It's like watching a robot learn to feel. And now, we got some more information on Ledo. Hope that goes somewhere fun.

That'd just create the problem of constant flashbacks and recaps. :(

From what I've seen, the manga really only focuses on Polar Bear & Panda in their day-to-day escapades and characters like Mr. Penguin, Sasako, Handa e.t.c. are rarely seen. Sounds terrible, I know.

Most definitely. There's a transformation, there are MotWs, there's a "mascot" who bestows magical powers in order to combat an otherworldly menace, battles largely serve as metaphors for ideological quandaries.
